Though disappointed that he couldn't take Orochimaru with him, he still felt relief. At least it showed Itsuki cared.
But then Itsuki suddenly formed hand seals.
Both Hiruzen and Orochimaru froze.

A wave of dread washed over Orochimaru, who instinctively tried to retreat, but Hiruzen's shadow clones kept him pinned down.
"Adamantine Seal Barrier!"
With Itsuki's low shout, golden chains spread outward from his body, climbing toward the space above Hiruzen's head.
"This is…" Hiruzen's eyes widened.
Mito frowned, unable to understand Itsuki's jutsu. But she knew one thing—it was aimed at the Shinigami.
Orochimaru, on the other hand, remained completely clueless.

Whether it retained its soul-rending ability through the barrier… well, that was something to test later.
Itsuki smirked.
