Bang! Bang! Bang!
Warm applause erupted throughout the arena.
Naruto's performance was beyond everyone's expectations. No one thought he would actually win in the end.
Even more shocking, he had actively used the Nine-Tails' chakra without going berserk.
The Konoha shinobi were stunned. Their perception of Naruto began to change.
People didn't just hate the Nine-Tails because of the destruction it caused in the past—it was because Jinchūriki were unstable and could lose control at any moment.
But now, Naruto had shown them with his actions that such a thing wouldn't happen with him.
From this moment on, at least the shinobi of Konoha began to truly acknowledge Naruto's existence.
"This guy is so damn energetic!"
Watching Naruto run around happily and blow kisses to the crowd, Karin couldn't help but complain.
Still, a person with no schemes or malice wasn't annoying—just loud.
Neji was taken away by the medical team.
Itsuki noticed that Hiashi Hyuga, who had been sitting in the stands with Hanabi, had quietly left.
He must have gone to help Neji resolve his emotional scars.
After all, the death of Hizashi Hyuga was a historical problem left behind by the weakness of the Third Hokage.
That responsibility could never truly be shaken off.
As a leader, no matter how much one thinks of the bigger picture, using the lives of subordinates in exchange for temporary peace is unacceptable.
After the Nine-Tails Rebellion, Konoha had lost the Fourth Hokage and many of its core elites, entering a fragile state of recovery following the last Shinobi World War.
But what about Kumogakure?
The Third Raikage had also died, and in the war they had lost not just to Konoha but also to Iwagakure.
Could they not have remained strong instead of resorting to dirty tricks?
In the end, it all came down to leadership.
Diplomacy isn't just about raw strength—it's also about attitude.
Still, those things were now in the past, and had little to do with Itsuki.
The second match soon began: Yamanaka Ino vs. Haruno Sakura.
Both girls were much stronger than in the original timeline, making their fight far more exciting.
Unfortunately, they were childhood friends and best friends. Neither could bring themselves to go all out against the other.
Sakura, who had begun mastering some of her supernatural strength, could only create a hole one or two meters wide in the ground with her punch.
Ino's Mind Transfer Jutsu never managed to hit Sakura.
On the surface, it seemed they were too familiar with each other, always able to predict the other's moves.
The truth was, they argued fiercely but still held back against each other.
But a competition is a competition—there must be a winner.
After a long stalemate, Sakura managed to close the distance and unleash a super punch that struck Ino's face.
It sent her flying a few meters and left her cheek swollen, but that was all.
Ino grew angry, thinking Sakura was underestimating her.
Expanding her mental perception range, she finally landed her Mind Transfer Jutsu, disrupting Sakura's body.
Unfortunately for Ino, Sakura's alternate personality responded with an illusion at the same moment, striking Ino as well.
Both collapsed, gasping for breath, before clashing with kunai in sheer desperation.
Exhaustion eventually overtook them, and they fell unconscious together.
While Sakura did hold a slight advantage, it was clear neither had truly tried to defeat the other.
The match was declared a draw.
But once again—a competition is a competition.
Their attitude fooled the audience, and with such weak determination, neither deserved promotion to Chunin. Both were eliminated.
This left four winners from five matches, removing the need for a playoff round.
The third match: Hinata Hyuga vs. Karin Uzumaki.
The gap in strength was huge.
Hinata gave her all, trying to show her growth, but Karin would not hold back.
The Adamantine Seal made her untouchable at this stage.
Hinata couldn't break through no matter what she tried, and she was defeated without suspense. Karin advanced.
The fourth match: Tenten vs. Kurama Yakumo.
Tenten was undeniably strong—but unfortunately, her opponent was Yakumo, someone even Itsuki didn't want to face.
They hadn't interacted much, but since Tenten was close with Karin, Yakumo gave her some face and didn't immediately finish her off.
Still, every one of Tenten's attacks was casually erased by Yakumo's brush.
Numbers didn't matter. Tenten couldn't even get close.
"It seems… I can only let you taste this!"
Gritting her teeth, Tenten unrolled a massive scroll.
After forming hand seals, a torrential curtain of water suddenly crashed down from the sky.
This wasn't ordinary water—it was deep-sea water, heavy with crushing oceanic pressure.
Even steel plates would struggle to withstand such a force.
Every time she used this technique, Tenten grew nervous, ready to cancel it at a moment's notice.
After all, while Yakumo wasn't exactly a "sister" in the group, she was still Itsuki's teammate.
And according to their estimations, she might eventually join the [Itsuki Harem Chat Group].
Unlike before, Yakumo's expression wasn't calm—but her counter shocked everyone.
In an instant, she swept her brush, conjuring a massive, multi-angled steel slide in midair.
The raging seawater slammed into it, deforming the surface, but failing to destroy it.
The torrent diverted and roared back toward Tenten.
"No way…?" Tenten froze.
Could this really be possible? Could the five senses be wielded like this?
The fact she could summon seawater had already stunned the audience.
But Yakumo's creation drew an even greater shock.
Even Orochimaru—disguised as the Kazekage—narrowed his pupils with fascination.
Suppressing the urge to lick his lips, he cast a twisted smile at the Third Hokage beside him.
"Konoha truly overflows with talent," the Kazekage sneered. "Such diverse abilities, one after another. Truly enviable."
The Third Hokage side-eyed him, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. "You flatter us, Kazekage. These are nothing but children's tricks. Hardly worthy of your praise."
"Hokage, you jest," Orochimaru chuckled darkly, dropping the subject.
On the field, Tenten's face paled as the seawater she summoned thundered back at her.
She was only the summoner, not its master—she couldn't stop it. Desperate, she canceled the flow midstream and shouted:
"I give up!!"
Which, in truth, meant: Help!!
The referee had already seen Yakumo's response and knew the outcome was decided.
But the sheer pressure of the seawater terrified him.
He was just a Special Jonin. Even he couldn't block such a technique.
Aren't Genin a bit too perverted these days?
Thankfully, before Genma Shiranui had to risk his life, a figure flashed in and whisked Tenten away.
With a thunderous roar, the seawater crashed down like the Milky Way pouring onto the earth. The ground trembled violently.
Still, it was only summoned water. Once the initial impact passed, it lost momentum and drained away.
Yakumo, who had been planning to rescue Tenten herself, calmly painted a few more strokes instead.
A small boat appeared beneath her, gently bobbing on the rising water.
From beginning to end, she hadn't moved a single step.
The arena fell into stunned silence.
Most of the crowd sat frozen, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
