"Is this Mr. Johnson Joffrey?"
A strange voice, distorted by metal, simultaneously let out an unpleasant rasp—
Johnson Joffrey held the phone, looking out from the French window at Morioh, where blue and green intertwined.
Morioh is a small town with very distinctive Japanese characteristics. It is an outlying city of S City, which began to develop rapidly in the first half of 1980. It has a long history, featuring both American-style architecture and residential ruins from Japan's Jomon period, as well as samurai-era villas and martial arts training grounds.
Beautiful marigolds can often be seen by the roadside.
This is Morioh's city flower.
"Ah, that's me," Johnson Joffrey replied expressionlessly, his tone full of indifference.
"I'm warning you now, leave Morioh immediately," the person said arrogantly.
"Who are you?"
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that if you continue to stay in Morioh, then I will definitely make you regret it."
"Are you a Stand User?"
"Yes, I am a Stand User shot by the arrow you destroyed. Thanks to you, I was able to successfully obtain this arrow."
"You always have to give me a reason to leave. I can't just leave here because I believe a few words from you, can I?"
"Then I'll be direct. Your existence has completely affected the peace and tranquility of the entire town."
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that I am a wronged soul under that arrow. Thanks to you killing Nijimura Keicho today, I was able to fully acquire the power of this arrow."
"Do you think you have completely destroyed the arrow? You are greatly mistaken. The arrow is already in my hands. Although it has been crushed by you, I have used my ability to reforge it into an arrowhead."
His tone was filled with triumph and pride.
"Are you a student?"
"Huh?...This...this, how do you?! I'm not!"
The other party's panicked voice completely gave Johnson Joffrey the answer. "If it really comes to a fight, I'm not afraid of you. I heard you can pause for half an hour?"
Johnson: "???"
"Of course, I wouldn't believe such a thing, but I'm guessing your pause time is definitely longer than Jotaro's. I've said my piece. I advise you to leave Morioh quickly, otherwise I will kill the residents of this town."
"Since you've said such a thing, it means you are the one destroying the peace of this town."
"Is your ability to control electricity?"
"What?!! You bastard!!"
The phone roared, instantly exploding in place. The huge explosion made Johnson Joffrey throw the phone completely aside.
The explosion scratched his cheek, drawing a streak of blood on his fair face. Unlimited Domain wasn't actively open, and Johnson was too lazy to open it just to defend against a phone explosion.
Johnson Joffrey frowned. The person on the phone was definitely Akira Otoishi. If it was him, he wouldn't be easy to deal with.
But how did this guy know my ability? Most importantly, where did this rumor come from? I thought the talk about deleting half an hour and pausing for half an hour was just a rumor from Italy?
Why does this guy still think he knows his own ability? Johnson's ability is actually quite difficult to understand. And shouldn't he be calling Kujo Jotaro?
Damn it.
Other protagonists are underestimated; I'm overestimated.
However, that guy should quickly realize there's something wrong with the arrow he got, but he probably won't suspect me, instead blaming his bad luck for not being able to awaken anyone's Stand.
And the only person who ever possessed the arrow was Nijimura Keicho, but he is already dead.
Johnson Joffrey looked at the broken phone, silent for a moment—
He picked up his own phone, leaning comfortably on the sofa—
"Is this Mr. Noyama? This is Johnson Joffrey."
"Oh, it's Mr. Johnson. How are things in Japan? Are you used to life here?"
"Mr. Noyama, thank you. I'm doing very well in Japan. My uncle even called me from Italy yesterday to ask about you. How is your health after seeing you?"
Mr. Noyama on the other end laughed heartily. He had studied abroad in Italy and also worked in the yakuza, a Japanese gangster. Johnson, as a terrorist, was able to legally carry a gun into Japan thanks to his help.
Now Johnson is a foreigner and cannot actively investigate things in Japan. Whatever he does, it's cumbersome, and people will quickly suspect him. He had no way to find Red Hot Chili Pepper or investigate Kira Yoshikage, so he had to entrust this Japanese gangster to help him.
Noyama used to have business dealings with Passione. After Diavolo died, Risotto directly took his place.
The real boss, Diavolo, had long been accused of too many crimes, but Noyama was a Japanese gangster and had never met Diavolo anyway, only caring who controlled Italy.
Johnson talked with him for a long time, finally explaining his problem.
"Please speak freely. We will serve you with all our might."
"I'd like to ask you to investigate someone later. Please give me his address and detailed identity information. I'll send you his name shortly."
"Then you send it to me, and I'll give it to you in an hour."
"Thank you."
"No need to be polite, but about the Stand User business we discussed last time, I wonder what your father has decided."
"I came this time precisely to discuss that with you."
"That's excellent then."
The two of them chatted back and forth for a long time before hanging up. The call had been encrypted, but he was still uneasy, so he planned to use the internet to send a message with Otoishi Akira's name later.
Johnson Joffrey flicked a bloodstain from his cheek. If he could get Kira Yoshikage's Bow and Arrow, he could sell Stand Users to the whole world.
He leaned back on the sofa, feeling that Otoishi Akira had to be killed.
"Knock, knock—"
There was a knock at the door. Johnson thought it was Jotaro. After all, Higashikata Josuke had already told him about killing Nijimura Keicho, but Jotaro hadn't asked him about yesterday's events. During dinner, he was constantly looking through academic papers, saying he was going to investigate water quality today.
Is it truly you, Kujo Jotaro?
Johnson pulled the door open, only to see someone he really didn't want to meet.
"Yo, Mr. Geoffrey." Kishibe Rohan raised his chin, looking at Johnson Joffrey.
"What do you want?"
Kishibe Rohan widened his eyes and said, "Didn't you say you wanted to collect material for your manga?"
Tsk, seriously.
"I haven't even figured out what to tell you yet." He really didn't have time to talk to Kishibe Rohan right now. With that, he pushed the door, intending to shut Kishibe Rohan out.
"Hey, hey," Kishibe Rohan hurriedly pushed against the door, "We agreed!"
"It doesn't matter if we agreed."
"Alright, alright. Anyway, I've decided to gather material today. Why don't you come with me? Morioh is where I lived as a child, I can show you around."
Johnson tilted his head slightly, not wanting to bother with him.
But seeing his awkward smile, it seemed he was truly desperate for material. As a foreigner, being able to openly walk the streets would be beneficial to him, and it would be good if he could discover any clues.
"Then let's go."
