Dahlia's POV
When I finished speaking, Flora's face grew darker because she knew every word I said was true.
I remembered that summer when Ivana wanted to take a trip overseas. Cobb brought both Flora and me along to Caspia. Throughout the entire journey, those two acted so intimately that even our tour guide assumed they were a married couple.
Flora's expression shifted instantly. She exploded at that poor guide with such fury that I actually felt bad for the young man afterward.
But that moment opened my eyes to something important. Flora might despise me and consider me unworthy of being her daughter-in-law, but compared to her feelings about me, she hated the thought of her precious daughter becoming Cobb's wife even more.
Was she simply concerned about Cobb's public image? They weren't blood relatives, so what harm could there be in them becoming husband and wife?
Something told me Ivana's history held secrets that went much deeper.
