Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Death Curse Technique

Ron Irus recited a line of incantation upon his hand, immediately revealing a small black circular mark on his palm.

"Hey, if you die then I will leave you behind for the dogs to handle your corpse, do you know that one of the fastest ways to dispose of a 60 kg pig is to put it in a cage of starving dogs??"

(News is not real, children should not experiment at home.)

Ron spoke while opening the door to let air in, he walked out and stood before a stone golem then he punched it once.

Thud.

A powerless punch, extremely weak, touching the entity before Ron as gently as possible.

Then the golem fell, nothing more than giving up, its eyes turned to stone pebbles, useless.

And the others did not attack Ron at all.

"…Indeed."

Ron had guessed the way to crack the puzzle.

The magic he just used was a type of magic of the reincarnation of death sensation, that is, sensing death and then returning to reality, he had just done something similar to that golem and made it crash, so it obviously did not attack him.

It is like the way you turn off a computer but instead of self-restarting, it turns off completely and needs to be turned on manually.

And the communication mechanism likely needs a certain amount of time and distance, or at least it relates to the act of destroying it.

The basic easy to understand hypothesis of Ron:

Attacking a golem → it will attack back and transmit news to others → the crowd attacks → kill the one signaling the attack → the others do not dare attack accordingly but will continue to surround the person.

Attacking a golem in a way that feigns killing it → It does not attack and transmit news → Crash.

That was it, just like that, opening a path out of this place was smooth.

Ron just like that carried a bag of a person trotting away from this place full of stone golems.

Coming out to a cave entrance supported by wooden frames, Ron only then began to think.

In case everyone does not know, this is a mineral mine currently being constructed in an open pit.

This place is a vast deep open pit abyss, with many layers and caves, the previous Lord of the Dark Night of Jinlus relied on the treacherous and mysterious conditions of this place to make a residential base, except that he was too stupid so his base was not very secret.

Ron inherited the title, but this could be said to be his 3rd time being here, this mineral excavation area.

'First of all, just find someone who belongs to the map'.

This place was inherently dangerous, winding like a maze, someone without business would find it hard to know this place clearly, so it is best to find an old boss, whoever has the least belly fat is best.

Ron placed Almy on a mine cart, he recited a spell on his hand causing it to turn purple, bulging like a balloon, then he picked up a sharp stone.

Aiming above Almy's head, Ron decisively stabbed into his own palm, causing a stream of blood as black as asphalt to flow all over Almy's body, especially the areas not covered by clothes.

The reason he did so was because his blood was incredibly foul smelling, at least currently, and this place had just been attacked by golems earlier, obviously there was something else, and from earlier until now there were no employees even though it was office hours, even a blind person could see the need for thorough protection.

"At least now even a dog would refuse your meat".

Ron sat on the push cart, then reached for the lever and flipped it, making the mine cart begin to move along the rails upward.

Clatter clatter~

Click clack~

In the silent space where automatic torches flickered to life, there was only the sound of the mine cart moving, creating a strange lingering sensation.

It is like a night where you wake up at 3 AM to go to the bathroom, but keep walking while worrying that you will bump into someone.

'Yes, I am describing an opening scene for a horror movie, and the next thing in the movies will be a flock of bats from a random location flying everywhere'.

Squeak squeak

A sound no different from the rodent species and the sound of wind whistling in the air betrayed to Ron that a flock of bats was greeting him.

And it fortunately would become a reserve food item for Ron or Almy if the situation went out of control, but not now, placing a bat full of blood that is not foul defiled blood, how is that different from placing gold next to trash for random monsters?.

Ron thought that was for the best, everyone should not joke about how an entity that knows how to behave like a human can be how sober, because perhaps that is a zombie wearing a skin walker or vice versa.
