Noah finally came to his senses and realized that the car had come to a complete stop.
They were home at last. He quickly got down from the vehicle, and although he certainly did not need any assistance, Adam was right there to offer his help regardless.
Noah didn't say anything else to Adam as they crossed the threshold of the mansion.
He wanted nothing more than to shed the weight of the day. He walked straight into his room, closed the door, and immediately began peeling off the cumbersome, formal suit.
He tossed the jacket aside and changed into a set of loose, comfortable home clothes.
Once he felt like himself again, he stepped out of his room and headed to the kitchen.
He spent a few minutes quietly cutting up some fresh fruit, placing the slices onto a plate. With his snack in hand, he retreated back to the sanctuary of his bedroom.
Since he had nothing else to do for the rest of the afternoon, he lay across his bed and started watching a movie on his phone.
