Since it was already evening, Arabella invited James to dinner with her at her residence to share this important information. Although her relationship with Cliff had improved, she still didn't want to forget her ex-boyfriend, who truly loved her. After having dinner with Cliff at a fancy restaurant, she wanted to spend more time with him.
James was still awkward about setting foot in this luxurious apartment, as he hadn't visited in a long time since their breakup. Now he mustered the courage to enter the apartment, which held so many fond memories for him. He missed the times when he and Arabella dated, even sleeping together.
"James, why are you so quiet?" Arabella handed her ex a bottle of wine. "I happen to have some leftovers for you."
"I haven't been drinking wine for a while."
Arabella nodded as she picked up the wine bottle. "I just remembered, you drive too."
"That's not really the reason. But, I don't want you to drink non-alcoholic drinks alone."
