Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Half human, half ghost, the best gunslinger!

Inside a high-rise building on Fourteenth Street in the Janus District.

Nicole led Su Chen and the others, constantly moving through the building, trying to find a safe exit.

"Damn it, why are there Red Fang Gang members everywhere?!"

Nicole leaned against the wall, her breathing unsteady.

No matter where they went, there would always be a group of Red Fang Gang thugs pursuing and intercepting them.

"Maybe this is the Red Fang Gang's main base, or perhaps they've deployed most of their forces for that safe?"

Su Chen speculated.

He knew that the safe contained the powerful AI, Mythos, which was not only one of the keys to a major event but also a powerful tool for Hollow exploration.

Although the Red Fang Gang was hired by someone and didn't know the true value of the safe,

the employer's commission must have been substantial, making it worth the Red Fang Gang's full effort.

"That makes sense." Nicole nodded in agreement, then suddenly heard the sound of pursuers again. "Damn it, they're catching up again, go left!"

"Don't let those thieves get away!"

"Especially the one who killed so many of our brothers!"

Hurried footsteps and shouts came together.

"Hey, brother, you sure are popular!"

Billy winked at Su Chen as he ran.

Although Billy's eyes were two light bulbs, Su Chen could still understand his meaning.

"No choice, it's all to cover for you guys!"

Su Chen spread his hands, saying helplessly.

"Stop talking, run!" Anby pulled Nicole, who was about to fall behind, and said, "They're about to catch up!"

After a period of pursuit, the group arrived at a sealed room.

There was no other exit, only a transparent floor-to-ceiling window.

"Looks like we've hit a dead end."

Nicole massaged her forehead, feeling a headache coming on.

"We can break the window and get out from here!"

Billy pointed at the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at Nicole.

"It looks like a Hollow below, doesn't it?" Nicole stroked her chin, "Never mind, at least let's escape first. Billy, can you break it?"

"Of course, leave it to me!"

Billy saluted, pulled out his pistol, and fired a shot at the floor-to-ceiling window.

The bullet accurately hit the floor-to-ceiling window, however…

Whoosh!

The bullet ricocheted off the floor-to-ceiling window, just grazing Billy's face.

"Hiss!"

Billy's electronic eyes were as stimulating as a stock market trend chart.

"It ricocheted. This is bulletproof glass."

Anby said expressionlessly.

"Damn it, I knew it wouldn't be that simple!"

Nicole said, frowning.

"Let me try?"

Su Chen pulled out one of his Twin Ether Blasters and waved it in front of Nicole.

"It won't work. This is reinforced bulletproof glass; even Billy couldn't break it just now."

Nicole looked at Su Chen's pistol and shook her head, "Your little pistol…"

"What, did you forget what happened just now?"

Su Chen said, amused.

"…"

Nicole remembered.

Before, she had also said Su Chen was carrying a small pistol, and then she immediately learned a lesson from that small pistol.

Nicole could only say, "Then you try it."

Su Chen adjusted his angle.

Making sure that a ricochet wouldn't cause danger, he pulled the trigger at the window.

The muzzle of the blaster spewed out a foot-long bright flame.

Bang!

Crash!

The floor-to-ceiling window shattered in response.

At some point, Billy had sobered up and was looking at Su Chen, who was holding the blaster, in shock.

They were both pistols, so why was Su Chen's so powerful?!

"Wow wow wow! Your partner is so strong!"

Billy looked at the blaster with burning eyes, giving a thumbs up.

"Don't say such misleading things." Su Chen's head was full of black lines, "You can call it a Twin Ether Blaster."

The blaster was a high-power pistol, with the performance of a large-caliber sniper rifle, living up to its blue quality.

Its power was so great that the recoil generated could even briefly suspend a person in the air.

Only under Su Chen's powerful body could it be used freely.

"That's great, but this hole is a bit too small, it needs to be bigger."

Nicole examined the shattered part of the floor-to-ceiling window.

Because it was bulletproof glass, it wouldn't shatter completely like ordinary glass when hit by a bullet; at most, only a part of it would break.

"Then two more shots."

Su Chen shrugged indifferently; anyway, bullets were free.

Just as he was about to raise his gun to shoot, a gloomy and angry voice came.

"You won't have another chance to shoot!"

Bai Lao Miguel appeared at the room's entrance with a large group of his subordinates.

Dozens of dark gun muzzles were pointed at the group. If they made any move, they would immediately be shot full of holes.

"Hmm."

Su Chen looked relaxed, the other Twin Ether Blaster had already appeared in his right hand, entering dual-gun mode.

Anby drew her electric knife, Billy had both pistols ready, and Nicole's briefcase was also prepared.

Miguel looked at the four people in front of him, already understanding their identities.

Although he didn't know who the extra person was, the others were undoubtedly from Cunning Rabbit House.

"Universal Solutions · Cunning Rabbit House!"

"Why, why steal things in Red Fang Gang territory?!"

Miguel leaned on a straight sword, shedding tears of unknown sincerity.

Originally, it was quite fake, but with twelve subordinates dead, his tears held a bit of genuine emotion.

"This safe is stolen goods you snatched from the research institute. We just took on a commission to return it to its rightful owner." Nicole pouted, saying disdainfully, "Don't make it sound like we're the bad guys."

"Stop spouting nonsense. You killed so many of our brothers. Hand over that safe, and I might leave you a complete corpse!"

Miguel stopped pretending, looking at the group fiercely.

If it were just the safe being stolen, he might still be in the mood to put on a show for the group who couldn't escape.

But with so many brothers dead and the Security Bureau already on their way, he didn't have that much leisure time.

"Since we're going to die either way, why should we hand over the safe to you?"

Su Chen complained to Miguel.

"The fourth person from Cunning Rabbit House I've never heard of." Miguel narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing Su Chen, "Presumably, it was you who killed so many of my brothers, right?"

As Miguel spoke, the gun muzzles, which had been pointing separately at the four, suddenly all aimed at Su Chen.

Dozens of subordinates looked at Su Chen with fear and anger.

Clearly, Su Chen had left a deep impression on them.

"Indeed, that would be me."

Su Chen wasn't flustered at all.

He had the conceptual skill, Evasion; as long as he rolled, he could enter invincibility frames.

He was currently considering whether or not to kill these people.

However, thinking of that little black cat, Su Chen temporarily suppressed the idea. Anyway, they were all going to die, so let the Security Bureau take care of them.

"Twelve bullets in two seconds, killing twelve of my brothers." Miguel said with a grim face, "Such divine marksmanship, who exactly are you?!"

The image of Su Chen shooting earlier kept replaying in his mind.

Twelve gunshots, and twelve of his subordinates fell, with one even falling right in front of him.

In other words, if that subordinate hadn't blocked the bullet, he wouldn't be standing here now.

And he had never heard of someone with such marksmanship coming to cause him trouble.

"That amazing?!"

Billy and Anby couldn't help but look at Su Chen.

From Nicole's account and the scene, they knew Su Chen's marksmanship was astonishing, but they hadn't expected it to be this astonishing.

Twelve shots in two seconds, every shot a kill—this was completely a gun god!

Even Nicole was utterly shocked. She had only seen several people fall before, but she hadn't expected twelve to die directly.

It seemed she had found someone truly extraordinary again.

All twelve died?!

Su Chen also showed a somewhat surprised expression.

All twelve shots were aimed at the chest, near the heart, and he hadn't expected all twelve to die.

It seemed all twelve shots hit the heart, which was even harder than hitting twelve heads.

Indeed, the tenfold enhanced legendary marksman was truly amazing; saying he could hit whatever he aimed at was no exaggeration.

Miguel looked at the four people, all equally shocked, and could no longer suppress his anger.

They were his people, yet they were still pretending to be shocked. Especially the one who fired the shots—didn't he know what happened when he fired?

"What are you pretending about?!" Miguel shouted at Su Chen, "Tell me, who exactly are you?!"

"A new employee of Cunning Rabbit House, an unknown nobody from New Eridu."

Su Chen blinked, answering sincerely.

"Still lying! Someone like you couldn't possibly be unknown. Who exactly are you?!"

Miguel questioned loudly, winking at his subordinates.

Immediately, several bullets exploded at Su Chen's feet.

Su Chen looked down at the bullet holes at his feet, not showing any fear.

He sighed and said, "Since you asked so sincerely, I will mercifully tell you."

"I have a nickname elsewhere: 'Half-Man, Half-Ghost, Number One Marksman.'"

This was a title given by enemies to the legendary marksman, showing their reverence for him.

Su Chen had fused with the tenfold legendary marksman gold card, so this title was fitting for him as well.
