After Ezreal left the Master's office, he returned to the hall to hand in his mission to Mira.
In the hall, the guild members were all busy: some were drinking, some were brawling, and some were reading.
Cana was chatting with Ikaruga, Laki, and Levy.
Cana was introducing Ikaruga to her friends and recounting their experiences in the Asgard Mountains.
Seeing Ezreal come down from upstairs, she waved to him from afar.
The four girls seemed to be getting along very well.
Ezreal smiled in response.
At a table in the center of the hall, Marcus, Elfman, Gray, and Natsu were arm-wrestling.
Marcus's body was reshaped from gold sand, making him incredibly strong and powerful.
He successively defeated Elfman, Gray, and Natsu, astonishing Uncle Macao and Uncle Wakaba, who put down their drinks.
Macao's son, Romeo, who greatly admired Natsu, stared wide-eyed, looking from Natsu to Marcus, his expression blank.
Catching this scene, Ezreal smiled and gave Marcus a thumbs-up from afar, then headed straight for the bar.
Ezreal took out the Titan Boa egg and handed it to Mira.
"The mission reward will be issued after the Zahar family arrives, which should take a few days," Mira said, taking the black Titan Boa egg, which was half her height, and placing it behind the bar.
"No rush," Ezreal nodded.
"It looks like you all had a good harvest this time. Cana and Marcus, both of them, have a different aura now. I heard them say you helped them a lot," Mira said, smiling with narrowed eyes, as she handed Ezreal a glass of juice.
"To celebrate your first commission, a perfect success," Mira winked.
"Thanks!" Ezreal took the juice, grabbed a straw from the counter, and began to sip it slowly.
"It's all the result of their own efforts; it has little to do with me. They were the ones who helped me a lot. However, everyone did have a good harvest this trip."
"The new member you invited seems to be around your age. Are you also starting to look for your other half early, like Alzack and Bisca?" Mira chuckled, covering her mouth, with a hint of teasing.
"I asked around for you, and she doesn't have anyone she likes."
"Don't talk nonsense, Mira, I don't want to get sliced by Ikaruga!" Ezreal was startled. He quickly turned to glance in Ikaruga's direction, and only after confirming she hadn't noticed their conversation did he turn back.
"Besides, aren't Alzack and Bisca not even dating yet? Have they already made it official during the time I was away?" Ezreal secretly peeked at the quiet gun-and-cannon duo drinking in the corner.
Alzack, with his stylish short black hair, was meticulously wiping an antique and grand black revolver in his hand.
Next to him, Bisca, a green-haired older sister wearing a cowboy hat, had a completely black sniper rifle at her feet and was sipping from a wine glass.
The two sat facing each other, but neither looked at the other.
Alzack kept his gaze fixed on the revolver in his hand, polishing it until it shone, without once lifting his eyes.
As for Bisca, her wine glass was empty, but it was unclear what the girl was still sipping at.
Ezreal could only hear her sucking air, and he estimated that if she kept drinking like that, she'd get bloated in two sips.
Around the two of them, four tables were empty.
The guild members had no habit of being a third wheel; anyone watching their awkward atmosphere would cringe, so they all kept their distance.
Only the two people involved acted as if nothing was happening, busy with their fumbling activities.
"Of course not, but ever since winter began, they haven't gone on missions, and they've been like this every day, ordering two drinks and just sitting there, not saying a word, yet they still come every day," Mira said, covering her mouth and chuckling, her cheeks slightly puffed out like a little hamster secretly eating.
"These two are really cute," Ezreal couldn't help but laugh and exclaim.
"They really are," Mira nodded in agreement.
"Your gossip tendency is getting worse, isn't it?" Ezreal said.
"This is called caring for guild members! It's a unique pastime for beautiful maidens!" Mira retorted righteously.
"Alright, I'm done chatting. I need to go back and move. I hope to finish packing tonight," Ezreal took a big gulp of juice and handed the empty glass to Mira.
Mira looked surprised and asked, "Huh, you're moving?"
Ezreal nodded. "I'm planning to build a house on an island outside Magnolia City."
"An island?" Mira paused slightly and asked, "Why suddenly want to build a house on an island? That's very far from the guild. Although Magnolia is by the sea, the nearest island is over a hundred kilometers away."
"Living in the city, it's not very convenient for me to practice some magic. You know, when my Amaterasu explodes, it's very disruptive to residents."
"On my way back, when I passed over the sea, I found a deserted island with a good environment. It's very large, and there are two huge freshwater lakes on the island, although it's a bit far from Magnolia."
"However, with a Summoned Beast for transportation, flying back and forth doesn't waste much time."
"That island is isolated in the sea, surrounded by other deserted islands, with no human habitation, making it more convenient for me to practice magic."
"I've sensed it; there aren't any particularly strong magical auras on the island, just ordinary magical beasts and regular wild animals, which pose no threat to me."
"And, building my own house doesn't cost money, and I'll have a large piece of land that belongs to me. How great is that?" Ezreal said with a smile.
These words were sincere.
Living in Magnolia City, how could he practice magic normally?
One Amaterasu could scare all the surrounding neighbors.
The explosion's power was like a cannonball; besides the guild's back mountain, he couldn't find another place to practice magic.
Especially with Life Alchemy, he needed to find consumables from time to time.
There weren't any powerful magical beasts around Magnolia. If he moved to an island, the magical beasts in the sea were quite strong, numerous, and gigantic.
Life force and magical power were both what he needed.
How could he evolve other Summoned Beasts if he always stayed at the guild?
After returning this trip, Ezreal had already decided to move to an island to live.
This would help him quickly improve his strength.
His Summoned Beasts possessed the characteristic of infinite resurrection.
Moving to an island, he could constantly spar with his Summoned Beasts, improve his combat skills, and enhance his cooperation with them.
When he needed to take on commissions, he would return to the guild; otherwise, he would go out to sea to find magical beasts for Life Alchemy.
"That sounds good, but how will you build your house? What about food?" Mira was still a bit worried.
"Building a house isn't difficult. I have a Summoned Beast proficient in Earth Magic. By attaching my consciousness, I can give it the desired house design, and it can easily build it by manipulating earth and stone."
"As for furniture, I plan to buy a batch of high-quality items from Laki; her craftsmanship is still excellent."
"Don't worry about food either. The island is rich in resources, and there are wild animals. It's no problem to just grab a bite. If I want to eat well, I can come back to Magnolia."
"It's only about a 20-minute round trip," Ezreal said confidently.
