Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: The Island of Valoran

Five plumes of black smoke, carrying malevolent, shrill wolf howls, flew out from the white vortex on the left, transforming into five Shadow Worgen, who knelt on one knee behind Ezreal.

"Greetings, my Lord."

From the white vortex on the right, two emerald green treant arms gripped the edge of the vortex, followed by the fiery treant head, and then the massive treant body.

The Fire Crown Treant also emerged from the white vortex, standing in front of Ezreal and kneeling on one knee.

"May my Lord be safe and sound."

Ezreal didn't reply, but the six Shadow Worgen behind him quietly raised their heads and glanced at the Fire Crown Treant.

"Summon some Treants," Ezreal ordered the Fire Crown Treant.

"Yes," the Fire Crown Treant stood up, flicked both hands towards the ground, and dozens of walnut-shaped, head-sized seeds glowing with an emerald light fell to the ground.

After landing, these seeds quickly swelled and grew, emerald green branches emerged, forming arms, roots coalesced into legs, and leaves transformed into scales covering their entire bodies, with crimson flames burning atop their heads.

In less than two seconds, several Treant Warriors, two meters tall with fire on their heads, appeared beside Ezreal.

However, these Treant Warriors were not holding any weapons.

"Come on, let's get to work. Worgen, go catch some magical beasts and bring them back. Remember, this time they need to be alive. Knock them out and bring them back. Pick some with decent strength, but not too big. Don't let them be taller than your knees."

Ezreal roughly indicated a height.

The Shadow Worgen were nearly five meters tall, only slightly shorter than the Blue Buff.

Up to their knees was about 1.4 meters, so magical beasts of that size would generally be forest wolves or Great Horned Deer.

The six Worgen bowed slightly in agreement, then exploded into six dense plumes of black smoke and flew out of the palace.

"Next time, maybe I should try riding a Shadow Worgen in its ghost state. This black smoke looks pretty cool, like riding on clouds, but it does make me look a bit like a villain," Ezreal muttered to himself as he watched the Shadow Worgen fly away.

"Or maybe I should gather a cloud, compress it, and put some souls into it to make a somersault cloud? Or catch a rain cloud or a thundercloud?"

As Ezreal pondered, he took out the card containing furniture from his pocket.

A flash of white light at his fingertip, the card disappeared, and nearly a hundred sets of solid wood furniture appeared in the great hall.

Tables, chairs, benches, and double beds—all were present.

The craftsmanship was exquisite, and the carved patterns were seamlessly integrated and very delicate, showing that Laki had put her heart into making this furniture.

"You, put this over there. You, put this over there. And you..." Ezreal directed the Treant Warriors to place the furniture in suitable locations.

The Fire Crown Treant and the Blue Buff were also brought in to help, but they were too large. Arranging items on the main floor was fine for them, but the upstairs required the Treant Warriors.

After shouting for a while, Ezreal found it a bit troublesome, so he simply recalled the palace design blueprint in his mind.

Then he designed the placement of all the furniture in his mind, and then shared it with the Fire Crown Treant through consciousness sharing.

The Fire Crown Treant then relayed this information to the Treant Warriors.

Strictly speaking, Treant Warriors were magical constructs, and Ezreal could not directly control them.

Only the Fire Crown Treant could command them using soul information.

The Treant Warriors worked quickly, and the furniture was arranged in no time. Ezreal then took out two more cards, which contained his luggage and a large pile of daily necessities he had purchased.

He handed these to the Treant Warriors as well, telling them to arrange everything and make the beds.

He himself went to the main entrance of the great hall.

Ezreal formed a sword-finger with his right hand, and a sharp white laser shot from his fingertip, hitting the palace's door frame.

He slowly carved the three characters 'King's Hall' onto the door frame with the laser.

He didn't use the script of Earth Land; he used Chinese characters.

"Let's call this island Valorant Island. Even though I only reached King tier in mobile games, a King is still a King. Living in the King's Hall will be a good memento, I guess."

Ezreal looked at the neatly carved Chinese characters, feeling a sense of familiarity. He stared blankly for a while, then made a funny face and laughed to himself, not knowing what he was laughing at.

Just then, a dense plume of black smoke flew from behind him and stopped beside Ezreal.

A pair of human-head-sized green eyes lit up within the black smoke, followed by a large mouth filled with stark white fangs opening within the smoke.

A unconscious black-horned goat was spat out at Ezreal's feet.

This black-horned goat had firm muscles, sleek brownish-yellow fur all over, and two shiny black horns. Its magical aura was roughly close to D-rank.

Though not strong, it was considered quite good on this island.

The Shadow Worgen in its smoke form glanced at Ezreal. Ezreal waved his hand, and it immediately understood, rising higher and flying off in another direction.

Ezreal waved his left hand, and a white energy vortex appeared before him. He summoned two blue melee minions, and then the energy vortex dissipated.

Ezreal crouched down, his left hand pointed at the two dazed melee minions, and his right hand pointed at the black-horned goat at his feet.

"Life Alchemy!"

Before he finished speaking, his hands glowed with a ghostly green light, completely enveloping the two melee minions and the black-horned goat.

The green light lasted for about half a minute before slowly dissipating, and a creature about 1.7 meters tall, with a human body and a goat's head, appeared before Ezreal.

Brownish-yellow goat fur covered its entire body, the torso wore the blue clothes of a melee minion, its eyes were also blue, and it had two palm-length black goat horns on its head.

Its face had three parts human-like features, but it was covered in goat fur, and its feet were still hooves. Its hands, however, had grown five fingers, identical to a human's.

Upon appearing, the half-goat immediately knelt on one knee and spoke in human tongue, "Greetings, my Lord."

"You shall be called Xi Yangyang. Go to work," Ezreal nodded in satisfaction.

"Xi Yangyang obeys," the named Xi Yangyang stood up, walked into the King's Hall, found a broom in the corner of the great hall, and diligently began sweeping the floor.

This Xi Yangyang was created by Ezreal using Life Alchemy for household chores.

The King's Hall covered an area of about 3300 square meters, with the shorter buildings being two stories and the tallest great hall having seven stories.

Living there, Ezreal felt he definitely couldn't manage the upkeep himself.

He directly imprinted memories of housework and human language into the black-horned goat's soul, then used the two humanoid melee minions to help the black-horned goat transform its body into a human form.

Although Ezreal could have transformed the black-horned goat into a human form without the help of the melee minions, it would have wasted more magic power, which was unnecessary.

He inscribed an instruction into the black-horned goat's memory to work in the King's Hall for three hours daily. Once the three hours of cleaning were completed, it was free to go graze nearby.

Although there were no days off, the working hours were short, and Ezreal considered himself a good boss.

"It seems the effect is quite good. Then it should be no problem for me to create a chef," Ezreal mused, stroking his chin as he watched Xi Yangyang work enthusiastically.

This method of transforming other life forms into servants was a common technique described in the book Life Alchemy.

However, it was his first time using it, and it seemed quite effective so far, and he also felt a strong sense of familiarity.

"Why does it feel a bit like the Soul-Soul Fruit? After Marcus pirated Gaara, am I now plagiarizing Big Mom of the Four Emperors?" Ezreal chuckled, finding it quite amusing.

Although there was no one around to understand his bad jokes, Ezreal was completely relaxed at this moment.
