Chapter 17 - 17

14th March 2024

Zoe bounced back quicker than she thought she would after the whole Lana issue. Which did mean she went on a few more dates, emphazing to the woman that she was in fact not looking for sex, nor was she going to be able to get them a date with her friends.

She got one call back which didn't lead anywhere.

Addison felt the world was doing this to her on purpose, making her sieve through the woman of New York to see which one she pissed off, didn't call back and used. The number was too large, even for Addy.

Zoe was loosing hope, she felt at a loss. This week was the first week she wasn't on a date as Addy said she needed to try and find her someone new. New as in, no one ever knew they were real.

Which was hard.

Really hard.

Addison sat in her living room, working from home. In her tank and panties, she was alone at home, after she had sent a guy out the door that she had called to have sex with earlier, she just needed a good morning pick me up.

Which was good indeed as this man had the body of a Greek God and the cock of a horse.

Addison typed away, going through the numbers of the start of the month, in between she would run through a few names on Facebook and other socials to find another girl for Zoe. Wasn't working.

Until she heard a bang at her front door, causing her to jolt, holding her laptop in her hands as her heart raced in fear.

Then-

"Open up Marlow! It's Blair!" Another loud bang, Addy groaned as she placed her laptop to the side, stretching then walking to the door.

Who fucking knocks like that?  She thought.

When the door opened, there stood Blair. She was in her work clothes which must mean she is here while she is on her break.

"Ew. Put something on." She grimaced in disgust as she pushed past the older woman into her apartment. Addy frowned, turning to go after her once the door closed

"This is my apartment, I can dress how I want- why are you here? How do you know where I live?"

"Zoe told me and I wanted to see your place… it is nice, Zoe wasn't kidding. I really thought she was overcompensating." That made Addy roll her eyes as she heard Blair with her normal hateful talk towards her.

The older woman watched her for a moment as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Can I help you? I have work-

"Dressed like that?"

"Blair!" she clasped her hands together

"What?"

"… I am going to make us coffee."

Addy moved past her quick, she could feel the eyes on her as Blair watched her walk past, her ass hugged so nicely by her lacey panties. Blair shook her head, not wanting the image of a half-naked Addiosn in her head, or her tattoos.

Once the younger woman had walked into the kitchen, she saw Addy was already making her coffee the way she liked it. This made her frown as her eyes went over the womans features. She wasn't going to deny that Addy is attractive, her broad but slim shoulders, her figure, her soft but dark eyes. Her hair now just one colour of brown, the long locks over her shoulders. She was definitely something to look at, it made sense why she was the most known for sex in the city.

"How do you know how I like my coffee?"

"Zoe mentioned it to me once."

"Once?"

"Yeah." She said as she made the drinkers for them, not looking at her. Blair tilted her head.

"And you can remember?"

Addy didn't answer as she lifted her head and now made direct eye contact with the younger girl.

"Why are you surprized?" she asked simply as Blair now had to look up.

"…no reason."

"Okay, then maybe you can now tell me why you are here." She said as she turned her attention to the coffee maker, took a minuite but then she had poured her coffee for Blair.

There was a small, brief contact. Didn't last long. Didn't mean anything.

Addy thought about when Blair had grabbed her arm a month ago and how she felt her whole body burn, in hate. Nothing more and will never be more than that.

Blair held the coffee mug between her hands, blowing on the heat before taking a small sip. A soft moan left her lips, which made Addy feel a heat crawl up her neck.

What is it about her and Zoe that makes me tingle like a fucking spider?  She thought as she took her own coffee in her hands.

"I have an idea about Zoe and her dates."

"Oh?"

"She needs new options." Addy snorted

"I have been looking, it is hard-

"Someone new and NOT from New York." Addy's eye went a bit wide at Blairs words. She didn't think about that.

"Hmm… Like Phili? Jersey?" Blair nodded

"Why must she be limited to the city she wasn't even born in? Given we are from Connecticut- don't look for anyone there though."

"Won't. But I like this idea. Might just work but…" Blair raised an eyebrow as the reaction.

"What?"

"You can't tell me that Zoe is a hard person to make someone like her. I mean… why are we struggling this hard to get one good date."

"…Maybe because the people you choose are sex freaks and the people I choose were just prudes." Addy rolled her eyes.

"I consider Zoe a friend, which means I am doing this with care, I don't know why the people she meets from me want sex, maybe it is a New York thing. I don't tell them to say that." Blair hummed, sipping her coffee.

"Don't believe you but whatever. Can you find people? You are weirdly good at finding people."

Addy rolled her eyes again.

"Yeah, I will try. Finish your coffee so you can leave. I have work to do."

Addison walked past her to the living room again, sitting down as she was about to put her laptop back but then Blair plopped down next to her. Addy groaned.

"What do you want?"

"Do you always wear underwear instead of pants?" Addy stared at her with a confused face.

"What the fuck does that even mean? This is my house, I can do what I want, wear what I want. If me wearing underwear makes you- oh." Addy smirked.

Blair now frowned, looking the older woman up and down.

"What-

"Are you turned on by the site of me basically naked?" Blair rolled her eyes.

"Fuck off."

"Oh you are. Is seeing me in panties making your little mind wonder?" She mocked her as Blair rolled her eyes, not moving away from Addy. She put her coffee mug on the table as she now looked again at her.

"You don't know what you are talking about."

"Do you want to know if I taste as good as I look Blair? Hm? I promise I do, I can even say I am better than my sister."

Blair hated her, hated Addy. She was being her usual slut self, even with her, with Blair of all people. She also hated how hot she felt all over her body at the dirty words, the thought of actually wanting to taste her-

"You are a pervert. I am leaving." This made Addy chuckle softly as she watched Blair get up, grab her things and head to the door.

Before she left, she looked over her shoulder.

"Don't you dare pull this shit with Zoe. Find her a good person, not like yourself."

Then the door slammed.

I'm not a good person?  She thought with a frown. Her heart made a funny feeling wash over her.

26th March, Tuesday Morning

Gabe was sitting in Addisons office today, as his was busy being renovated for the week. They didn't mind working with each other, they used to live together so this was a normal thing.

The office had its normal buzz of noise, phones ringing, pages turning. Stuff under Addy talking to one another, her assistant making sure her schedule was up to date.

Addy stared at her computer, not doing her numbers and her emails as Blairs visit played over in her head. She kept replaying the words she said before she left.

Find her a good person, not like yourself.

She couldn't shake the feeling over herself that stayed, it didn't leave her alone no matter how hard she tried to. Which was very unlike her to be unable to shake what someone called her.

Blair got underneath her skin, in more ways than anyone else could. She hated it so much. She hated Blair, so she thought. She hated this doubt she had over herself from that talk.

"Hey, Gabe?" she asked as he hummed. Not looking up from the laptop. She waited a moment.

"…am I a good person?" she asked, then he looked up then to her. Frowning.

"What do you mean?"

"You can be honest. Do you think I am a good person?"

"You're my best friend-

"Am I a good person." She demanded now from him.

"…I mean, yes but no. You're a good worker, you know how to do your job and you are a good friend to me and Zoe… you don't treat others well unless you can get something from them outside of work… so I don't think you are a terrible person but not the best either." He was honest.

Addy had grown to be this person since childhood. She only wanted things from people if she knew she would benefit because she never got the help she needed growing up, she did everything on her own. This mentality she has bore was one she was not at all truly aware of.

She looked down at her keyboard then back at him.

"Can you find someone for Zoe? Someone good? I can't right now, I am slammed with work, I will find someone if you can't after this round." She changed the topic as her heart started to pain like it has been doing to her.

Gabe didn't miss the tone, the hurt in the needed honesty. He knew she had feelings, even if she didn't want to admit it.

"Yeah… I can do that for you."

"Thank you." She whispered as she tried to work, forgetting what now two people have told her about not being a good person.

Did Zoe think the same thing?
