Karrar wakes up in the hospital, opens his eyes—and suddenly sees the ice dragon standing right in front of him.
Terrified, Karrar screams.
Ice Dragon: "Calm down, boy. I have no intention of hurting you. In fact, right now, you're the only thing keeping me alive. Also, you're the only person who can see and talk to me."
A doctor rushes into the room, alarmed by Karrar's screams.
Doctor: "What's going on? Why were you shouting?"
Karrar: "Why was I shouting?! Can't you see it? There's literally a giant lizard standing right in front of me! You have to call the police right now!"
Doctor: "...Your condition is worse than I thought. You're hallucinating. I need to bring you some antipsychotic medication."
Karrar: "What? No, I'm not crazy! The lizard is right here! Can't you see it?"
Doctor: "Karrar, there's no lizard. You're just sick, but don't worry. Once you take the pills, you'll be fine."
The doctor leaves and locks the door behind him so Karrar can't get out.
Karrar looks at the dragon and says, "What just happened? Why couldn't he see you???"
Dragon: "Maybe if you'd stop panicking and actually listen to me, you'd understand. I already told you—you're the only one who can see and talk to me. I'm bound to you now. Unfortunately."
Karrar: "...Who exactly are you? And what did you do to me?"
Dragon: "My name is Glacior. I'm an ice dragon—not a lizard, as you rudely called me. As for what I did, I merged with you to keep myself alive. This fusion will also give you access to my supernatural powers. Well… not all of them. Considering your weak, pathetic body, you can barely use ten percent of my strength."
Karrar: "That's… that's disgusting! I mean, sure, having powers sounds cool, but the idea of having some dinosaur inside my head watching me all the time is horrifying!"
Glacior: "For the last time, I'm a dragon, not a lizard or a dinosaur. And believe me, I'm the one who should be complaining—I'm stuck with a weak, useless human like you."
Karrar: "Since you hate me so much, can't you just… I don't know, leave and merge with someone else?"
Glacior: "Yes. I can use the fusion technique only twice. I've used it once with you, and the second time has to be with someone strong and muscular. Do you know anyone like that?"
Karrar: "Actually, yeah. There's a bodybuilder named Jabbar. But I don't know where he lives—I'm not really into sports. I'll have to go home and look him up."
Glacior: "Then what are we waiting for? Let's get out of here. This hospital is depressing."
Suddenly, Karrar's eyes glow bright blue, and his legs transform into dragon-like limbs covered with scales and claws.
Karrar stands up involuntarily, looks down at his feet, and panics.
Karrar: "What did you do to my feet?! And how are you making me move like this?!"
Glacior: "I have limited control over your body. As for your feet, that's part of the powers I can grant you. And the glowing eyes—consider them a disguise that hides your real face. Think of it as a kind of mask. You're now a hybrid between human and dragon. Now, let's get out of here."
Karrar: "But the door's locked! The doctor locked it!"
Glacior: "That's not a problem."
Karrar's hand transforms into a dragon's claw, and Glacior forces him to punch the door—shattering it open.
Karrar: "What did you just do?! You can't just destroy other people's property like that!"
Glacior: "The doctor thinks you're insane. He wasn't going to let you out, so we had to take matters into our own hands."
A nurse sees Karrar and screams in terror.
Nurse: "Monster!!"
Karrar: "No, I'm not a monster, I—"
Glacior: "No time to explain! We have to get out of here!"
Glacior makes Karrar run and jump through the window, landing on the ground outside.
Karrar: "You really need to stop making me do things I don't want to do! This is my body—I have the right to control it!"
Glacior: "Sorry, I just want to reach Jabbar as fast as possible. I don't have time to ask for your permission every step of the way."
A group of police officers spot Karrar, but to them, he looks like a monster. Shocked, they raise their weapons.
Karrar: "I know I look like a monster, but please, believe me—I don't want to hurt anyone!"
Then Glacior makes Karrar use ice magic, freezing the officers in place.
Karrar: "What did you just do?!"
Glacior: "Relax. It's weak ice—it'll melt in ten minutes. Enough time for us to escape."
Glacior makes Karrar run through the streets. Everyone who sees him gasps and stares in shock.
Glacior: "Man, these people are annoying. They can't even handle seeing someone different. Actually, I think we'd reach your home faster if we just flew using the wings."
Karrar: "No. Stop!"
Karrar struggles to regain control of his body and forces himself to stop running.
Karrar: "I've had enough of this."
Glacior: "Stop resisting! I know what I'm doing!"
Karrar (angrily): "No, you don't! You don't even know where my house is! I don't care what kind of world you came from, but here, smashing property, freezing police, and acting recklessly are not okay! You're just creating chaos and drawing attention to us with your stupid actions. Turn me back to my normal human form and let me handle things."
Glacior: "…Fine."
Karrar hides in an alley until no one can see him, then transforms back into his human form. He goes home afterward.
When he opens the door, his brother Mustafa greets him.
Mustafa: "You're really late. You were supposed to be home an hour ago."
Karrar: "The professor extended the last lecture to give us more homework, that's why I was late."
Karrar tries to sound confident so Mustafa will believe the lie.
Mustafa: "Alright, come in. Fatima wants to show you her new drawing. Just smile and tell her it's great."
Glacior: "That's your brother? Wow. He looks like you—but a thousand times better."
Karrar: "Yeah, I know. How about you merge with him instead and spare me your nonsense?"
Glacior: "Hmm… no. I want to see Jabbar's body first."
Mustafa notices Karrar talking to himself.
Mustafa: "Who are you talking to? And what did you mean by 'merge with him and spare me your nonsense'?"
Karrar: "Uh… no one. Just thinking out loud."
Mustafa: "Well, try not to use that kind of language in the house again."
Karrar: "Got it."
Glacior: "By the way, you don't have to speak out loud to talk to me. You can just think, and I'll hear your thoughts."
Karrar (thinking): Why didn't you say that earlier?
Glacior: "I just thought it'd be funny to see people react to you talking to yourself like a lunatic."
Karrar: I hate you.
Glacior: Me too.
Karrar goes to see his little sister's drawing.
Fatima: "So, what do you think?"
Karrar: "It's very beautiful—just like you."
Fatima: "Thanks! :) By the way, did you see the monster on the news today?"
Karrar: "Monster?"
Fatima turns on the TV, showing footage of the monster—Karrar in his dragon hybrid form—freezing police officers and running through the streets.
Glacior: "Hmm… I wonder who that handsome guy is."
Karrar (thinking): We've been merged for less than a day and we're already on the news. This is bad.
Glacior: "At least no one caught footage of you transforming back into human form, so your identity is still safe."
On the TV, witnesses talk about what they saw. The nurse from the hospital appears, trembling as she speaks:
Nurse: "I saw it break the door open suddenly. I thought I was going to die of fear!"
Then one of the police officers Glacior froze appears—sniffling and holding a warm cup of coffee.
Officer: "It froze me and my fellow officers solid! Achoo! This creature is a threat to society and must be captured."
Mustafa watches the news and says:
Mustafa: "Unbelievable. First the Punishers gang causing trouble, then those mutants—and now this monster? When will we be rid of these freaks?"
Fatima watches the footage closely and says softly:
Fatima: "Doesn't he look… scared and confused? Maybe he just needs help."
Mustafa: "Don't sympathize with that creature, Fatima. We don't know who or what it is. It'll probably just cause more problems."
Fatima: "Okay…"
Later that night, it's dinnertime. Mustafa cooks soup.
Karrar takes a sip—then suddenly spits it all over the table.
Mustafa (angrily): "What's your problem? Why would you do that?"
Fatima: "Brother, are you okay?"
Karrar: "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I just need to go to the bathroom."
He goes to the bathroom, washes his face, and speaks telepathically to Glacior.
Karrar: Why did you do that? Why did you make me spit the soup?
Glacior: "One of the side effects of our fusion is that I can taste whatever you eat. And let me tell you—that soup was terrible."
Karrar: Were you used to eating garbage in your world or what? The soup wasn't that bad! And even if you didn't like it, you didn't have to spit it out in front of my family!
Glacior: "Whatever."
Karrar goes back, apologizes, and finishes dinner.
Now, some might wonder why Karrar doesn't tell his siblings about the dragon. Well, he's simply afraid of how they'd react—and worried that if he told them, the news would spread and expose him. Especially now that his reputation is already damaged.
After dinner, Karrar goes to his room and searches online for information about the bodybuilder Jabbar. He finds a picture of him—his physique massive and muscular.
Glacior: "Perfect. With a body like that, I could use my full power—100%."
Karrar: Yeah, and I'd finally be free from you.
Karrar continues searching and finds out Jabbar lives in Diyala Province—while Karrar himself lives in Baghdad.
Karrar: "Hmm. Let's see… the trip to and from Diyala would take about two hours, maybe four with traffic. That's about as long as I spend in college anyway. I can just tell Mustafa I was in class."
Glacior: "Can't we just go now?"
Karrar: "Of course not. What excuse am I supposed to give my brother for going out this late? 'I went to an amusement park'?"
Glacior groans in frustration.
Karrar: "I don't even know why you're in such a rush. I get that you want to get rid of my weak body, but have some patience. It's not like someone's chasing you."

The scientist speaks:
Scientist: "Alright, gentlemen. The king's orders are clear… Find Glacior—and kill him."
