Leaving Lucas' office with the contract file in my hand, I sighed with visible relief. At least there is just one last step to attain my goal.
I dialed Oswald's number. "We can now meet." I said, just hoping to confirm if he had arrived as we discussed, and as expected, he was already waiting.
I ended the call and glanced at Adrian as he closed the distance between us.
"Is he there?" he asked, his voice calm and unreadable.
I nodded.
Together, we left Myth Technologies.
With Adrian keeping me company, the journey felt oddly more interesting—less tense than it should have been.
As the car pulled into the traffic, I snapped my gaze to meet his. "Care to explain now?" I asked.
I knew he might be wondering why I was so anxious to understand what they meant, but the truth was simple—I was beginning to have inconsistent thoughts about too many things.
Why did those strange images keep flashing through my mind yet I never grasped or understood them?
