Chapter 3 - ~ One ~

If You're Reading This, You're Still Lost

"There's nothing more encouraging than starting a new journey in total uncertainty.

Or at least, that's what I tell you to make you feel better."

Congratulations! You're back.

Which can only mean one thing: the first manual didn't help you at all.

You followed every piece of advice. You listened to the mysterious voice that spoke of lostness as if it were a cosmic trend. You laughed, you reflected, you even tried to "find your center."

And yet, here you are again—still floating in your personal nebula of doubts, while the universe continues to ignore you with the passive-aggressive grace of a lunar roommate.

But don't despair. You're in the right place—or at least one of the least wrong ones.

Because this second manual is different.

No more basic orientation: this is about advanced navigation through cosmic uselessness, about out-of-body experiences from your couch, about the search for the self in all the wrong drawers.

No solutions. Just a hand-drawn map by a blind robot, proudly pointing to the wrong spot in the cosmos and saying: "Start here."

~ Interference from the Brain ~

Right after takeoff, you enter the Stream of Unrequested Thoughts™.

They pass through you in sequence:

Unresolved doubts about your calling ("Was it really conceptual art… or just creative laziness?")

Embarrassing school memories returning in Dolby Surround

Your aunt's voice saying: "So what exactly are you doing with that degree?"

Warning: each thought becomes an orbiting piece of mental debris. Avoid them—or accept them as part of your equipment.

Incoming Transmission: Message from Future Self

(poorly decoded, of course)

"Heeey, it's you—just with a few more experiences and mistakes.

You did well to take off. Even if you chose the wrong rocket, route, and travel companions.

Because in the end… you only discover what you're willing to lose."
