Chapter 9 – Weapons Awaken
The Hiwatari triplets had come a long way.
They had mastered their first elemental jutsu, refined their close-combat techniques, and sharpened their bodies and chakra to a level far beyond most academy students. And now, with their father Hari's approval, they were finally allowed to participate in real training missions outside the village — low-risk, supervised assignments meant to test their teamwork and combat readiness.

The mission was simple — a mock escort and defense simulation against other academy teams. But Hari had other plans first. Before sending them out, he decided to test their coordination.
"Show me what you've learned," he said.
The brothers faced each other in a clearing outside the village. The wind rustled the leaves as the air grew tense.
Daichi struck first, hurling a kunai straight at Tenzo. He sidestepped, dodging easily — only for Yuva to appear behind him with a swift substitution. Tenzo countered with his own substitution, reappearing behind Daichi and pressing a kunai gently to his neck.
"Good reflexes," Hari muttered, watching from afar.
Then Yuva's fingers flashed through seals. "Lightning Kunai!" he called, hurling a crackling kunai toward his brothers. They dodged at the last second, using substitution again. Tenzo retaliated with Wind Kunai, slicing the bark clean off a nearby tree.
It was fast. Fluid. Deadly.
And it was just the beginning.

"Daichi!" Yuva shouted. "Combo time!"
Daichi grinned and slammed his hands together. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
A massive sphere of flame roared from his mouth, surging forward.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Tenzo shouted, exhaling a powerful gust that collided with the fireball.
The result was spectacular — the flames grew in size and speed, turning into a massive inferno that exploded across the training field with a thunderous roar. Even Hari raised an eyebrow.
"Good," he muttered. "That could tear through a squad if used right."

Next, Yuva and Daichi switched gears.
"Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!" Yuva launched a high-pressure blast of water toward a row of practice dummies.
At the same time, he infused his Lightning Kunai and threw them into the water stream. The resulting crackle of electricity spread across the wet ground, frying every dummy in range.
It was deadly — but not perfect. Yuva sighed. "It's strong… but without a real lightning jutsu, it's incomplete."
Hari, watching silently, nodded slightly. "And that's exactly why you need more than just jutsu. You need weapons that become extensions of you."

The handle was worn, the blade dulled by time, but the balance felt perfect.

At first, nothing happened. Chakra scattered along the blade and vanished. Sometimes it sparked uncontrollably. Sometimes it didn't flow at all.
Hours passed. Sweat poured down his face. His breathing grew heavy.

A faint glow danced along the blade's edge as chakra wrapped around the steel. Yuva swung — and the sword sliced through a thick training log with almost no resistance.
I did it… chakra flow into a sword.
Tenzo, who had been watching silently, stepped closer. "Big brother," he said quietly, "please… teach me that technique."
Yuva wiped his brow. "Not yet. I need to master it fully first. Once I do, I'll teach you."
He spent the next month refining the technique. Each swing grew sharper. Each strike cut deeper. By the end of the month, Yuva could channel chakra into his sword instantly, his blade glowing with controlled lightning energy. One swing split a tree clean in half.

🔥 Daichi's Brass Knuckles – Fist of the Forge: Made from fire-aspected chakra metal combined with heavy iron, these weapons focused destructive power into his punches, letting him shatter stone and armor with ease.
Hari smiled. "A samurai friend of mine helped forge these. He also gave me a scroll with his clan's sword style — one that blends chakra flow with combat movement. It's yours now. Study it well."
