Chapter 8 – Breakthroughs Before War

Six months passed like a blur.

The days were filled with training, sparring, and chakra refinement. By now, the Hiwatari triplets were no longer just talented academy students — they were prodigies in every sense.

At only eight years old, their chakra control had reached new heights, their chakra reserves had nearly doubled, and their stamina and endurance were leagues above their peers. They were ready for the next stage — and fate delivered it.

🪶 Hari's Return and a Grim Warning

One evening, after a year of constant missions, Hari Hiwatari finally returned home. He looked weary but proud, and his eyes carried the weight of knowledge only a veteran shinobi could have.

"My sons," he said as they gathered around him, "we don't have much time left."

Yuva frowned. "What do you mean, Father?"

"The Third Great Ninja War… it will begin soon. A year or two at most." Hari's voice was low and heavy. "When it does, this world will burn. Even children your age will be dragged into the chaos."

The room fell silent. Even Daichi, usually loud and cheerful, said nothing.

"That's why," Hari continued, his gaze firm, "from tomorrow, I'm starting your real jutsu training. You will be ready."

Excitement rippled through the three brothers. After years of building their foundations, the day they had long waited for was finally here.

⚔️ The Most Practical Technique – Chakra-Infused Weapons

The next morning, Hari stood before them with a pile of kunai and shuriken.

"Listen carefully," he said. "The most practical jutsu in a fight isn't always a giant fireball or flashy technique. It's this — a weapon thrown with chakra."

He picked up a kunai, infused it with chakra, and threw it.

Whoosh! It sliced through the air with deadly speed and slammed into a thick tree trunk, burying itself halfway in.

"When you channel chakra into your weapons," Hari explained, "they fly faster, strike harder, and pierce deeper. It's simple, but in battle, simplicity keeps you alive."

The triplets began training immediately. Their first attempts were messy — too much chakra caused the weapons to wobble, too little made them slow. But their control was excellent, and within hours, they were infusing chakra into their weapons with ease.

By the second day, they were hitting targets with frightening speed. By the third, their throws were sharp enough to split wood. Hari watched, eyes wide.

"You've done this faster than most chunin," he admitted. "With time, this technique will become deadly in your hands."

⚡ Elemental Weapon Mastery

A week later, Hari brought out two sealed scrolls. He handed one to Yuva and the other to Tenzo.

"These contain two C-rank techniques. Yuva — the Lightning Kunai and Shuriken Technique. Tenzo — the Wind Kunai and Shuriken Technique. They're advanced versions of what you've learned. Master them."

He demonstrated once more — lightning-infused kunai tearing through a thick boulder, and wind-infused shuriken slicing clean through three wooden posts in a row.

The brothers wasted no time.

Yuva focused on channeling lightning chakra through his kunai, making them crackle and move like bolts of energy.

Tenzo sharpened wind chakra around his shuriken, making them faster and more precise than ever.

Within weeks, both had mastered their techniques. Their elemental projectiles were now faster, stronger, and deadlier than standard ninja tools.

🪨 Daichi's Path – Fire and Earth

Hari turned to Daichi. "Your chakra nature — fire, water, and earth — isn't ideal for weapon techniques. But you have your own path."

He taught Daichi the legendary Fireball Jutsu (Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu). At first, Daichi struggled with the intense chakra control required, but within weeks, he could form a roaring sphere of fire that exploded across the training field.

At the same time, Hari encouraged Daichi to continue refining his elemental punches — his Stone Punch was now strong enough to crack boulders, and his Fire Punch burned hotter and longer.

---

🌊 Water Release Training

Because Yuva and Daichi both had strong Water affinity, Hari introduced them to a new technique: Water Bullet Jutsu (Suiton: Mizu Dangan) — a versatile C-rank water technique ideal for offense and suppression.

It required precise molding and control. At first, the water streams sputtered and collapsed. But they persisted, drilling the form into their bodies. Within a month, both brothers had mastered the technique, launching high-pressure water bullets capable of punching holes in wooden targets.

🌬️ Great Breakthrough – Wind Style Jutsu

Meanwhile, Hari created a shadow clone to personally train Tenzo in a powerful C-rank Wind Style technique — one used by many elite shinobi.

"Watch carefully," the clone said, forming a rapid string of hand signs. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough (Fūton: Daitoppa!)!"

A massive gust of compressed wind roared from the clone's mouth, tearing across the training field and toppling several trees. The sheer force made Tenzo stumble backward.

"This jutsu may seem simple," the clone explained, "but in battle, it's devastating. It can blow away enemies, deflect attacks, and amplify flames. It's a weapon and a shield."

Tenzo practiced relentlessly. Day after day, his blasts grew stronger, wider, and more controlled. And within weeks, he had mastered Wind Style: Great Breakthrough — his first true offensive ninjutsu.

🌟 Breakthrough Achieved

By the end of the month, the Hiwatari triplets had made more progress than most academy students achieved in years:

Yuva: Mastered Lightning Kunai/Shuriken, Water Bullet Jutsu, and continued refining his lightning-enhanced fist.

Tenzo: Mastered Wind Kunai/Shuriken and Wind Style: Great Breakthrough.

Daichi: Mastered Fireball Jutsu, Water Bullet Jutsu, and improved his Stone Punch and Fire Punch techniques.

Their bodies were stronger. Their chakra control was sharper. Their combat potential had skyrocketed.

Hari watched them with quiet pride. "Now," he said, "you are truly walking the path of shinobi. You're still children, but with this foundation… even jonin will have to take you seriously."

The three brothers exchanged glances. They weren't just training anymore — they were preparing for war. And the war was coming.
