Seeing that Chronoa was about to take him to the Time Realm, Gran originally wanted to return first and report that he was safe. But now, it seemed he had no choice but to follow her there for the time being.
Chronoa waved her small hand.
In an instant, the two of them entered a spacetime tunnel.
The tunnel shimmered with silver light, dazzling and dreamlike.
Gran reached out and touched it. The energy within wasn't violently overwhelming like raw power.
Instead, it felt… strange.
As if time were flowing rapidly while space continuously shifted—an endless cycle of movement and transition.
Gran withdrew his hand and smiled.
"Supreme Kai of Time, have you been keeping an eye on me since more than half a year ago?"
"Hehe, what do you think?" Chronoa replied playfully.
Gran found her quite amusing.
"Let me guess… The first time we met half a year ago, you already wanted me to become a Time Patroller. So…"
"Hmph!" Chronoa puffed up angrily. "There are so few people in the Time Realm. I finally found a promising candidate, and the Grand Priest and the Omni-King had to step in and stop me!"
"If they stopped you, then why are you still recruiting me now?"
"What's there to be afraid of? The Time King already fought the Omni-King—"
She suddenly covered her mouth.
Oops. She let it slip.
Gran froze.
So the Time King… had fought the Omni-King?
Whoa… that's huge.
His eyes lit up with curiosity.
"Supreme Kai of Time… who won in the end?"
Chronoa rolled her eyes.
"Why are you so nosy?"
"Well, curiosity is human nature. Besides, I also want to know just how powerful the Time King is."
From what the Old Supreme Kai and Whis had said before, the Time King stood on the same level as the Omni-King.
And spacetime power itself was terrifying.
Just like the vortex earlier—Gran, despite having Angel-tier strength, couldn't escape it.
So naturally, he was curious.
"You little brat… Do you really think we're qualified to discuss the Time King's power?" Chronoa shot him a glance.
"Fine. I'll just tell you this—neither side won or lost that battle."
"…Huh?"
Gran was stunned.
He hadn't expected that outcome.
But thinking about it, it made sense.
The Omni-King and the Time King were two of the strongest beings in the Dragon Ball universe. If they truly fought to a conclusion, the entire universe might have been destroyed.
The spacetime tunnel fell silent again.
After a moment, Gran spoke up once more:
"Supreme Kai of Time—"
Before he could finish, Chronoa cut him off:
"Why do you have so many questions? Can't you just ask them all at once?"
Gran scratched his head awkwardly.
"…Alright, just one last question."
"Go on."
"I want to know—how many Time Patrollers are there in the Time Realm right now?"
Since he had already agreed to join, he was beginning to see himself as part of the organization.
"Let me count…"
Chronoa bit her lip, raising her fingers one by one—then held up a single finger.
"...One million?" Gran guessed.
After all, with so many timelines, anything less seemed unrealistic.
"Are you crazy?" Chronoa looked at him like he was an idiot. "There are only about one hundred."
"…What?!"
Gran's eyes widened.
"With so many timelines, how can just a hundred people manage everything?"
"You've got the wrong idea about Time Patrollers," Chronoa shook her head. "Timelines don't constantly go wrong. Why would we need that many?"
She lowered her finger and continued:
"And even when history deviates, each timeline has a natural self-correcting mechanism. Only when the disruption becomes severe do Time Patrollers need to intervene."
"I see…"
Gran nodded slowly.
From the fan works he'd seen before, he had always assumed timelines frequently fell into chaos.
Apparently, that wasn't the case at all.
"Anyway, once you officially become a Time Patroller, you'll understand all of this," Chronoa said.
"Got it."
The tunnel fell quiet once more.
After some time, Gran was brought to the end of time.
There, at the edge of all timelines, stood a place known as the Time Nest—the very core of the Time Realm.
Chronoa led Gran out of the tunnel and into this domain.
Upon landing, Gran looked around.
The place wasn't particularly large—roughly the size of a small town.
However, the environment was pleasant, with buildings styled in a Western European fashion, giving it a serene and picturesque atmosphere.
Gran had already reverted from his Super Saiyan 4 form back to normal.
Curiosity flickered in his eyes as he asked:
"Supreme Kai of Time… is the Time King here?"
