"Um, so what does Rias want to talk about? Is it about that chick who attacked Issei?" Sun Jing asked as they walked down the corridor.

Kiba nodded. "Yes, that's part of it. But there's more. You'll have to wait for Rias to explain personally. Both she and Akeno have taken quite an interest in you."

Sun Jing blinked. "In me? Why though?"

Kiba smiled faintly. "You'll see."

Behind them, Issei muttered under his breath, "Great… now there's two of them. Stupid blonde princes…"

After a few minutes, they reached the old school building—the one used by the Occult Research Club. Its doors creaked as Kiba pushed them open, revealing a dimly lit room filled with candles.

Sitting on one of the couches was a petite girl with short white hair and golden eyes.

"What's happening? Where are we?" Issei asked, looking around. His eyes widened when they landed on the girl. "Wait! I think I know her!"

"Huh? You do?" Sun Jing asked, glancing at him.

Kiba chuckled softly. "Koneko Toujou. First-year student. A valued member of the Occult Club."

Koneko looked up briefly, meeting Issei's eyes. "…Pervert-senpai," she said flatly before taking another bite of chocolate.

"Wha—?!" Issei cried.

From somewhere deeper in the room, Sun Jing could hear the faint sound of running water. Her eyes flicked toward the small adjoining room where steam poured out from behind a thin curtain.

Her face immediately turned red. "You guys have a shower in here?" she whispered, squinting slightly.

Through the fogged glass, she could barely make out a silhouette and instantly recognized that vivid crimson hair.

Her magenta red eyes went wide. 'That's… Rias-senpai! She's showering in here?!'

She immediately turned away, face flushed.

Meanwhile, Issei was gawking openly. "Oh my god, it's like heaven itself!"

Before Sun Jing could scold him, Akeno's voice floated from near the curtain. "Your clothes are laid out, Miss President."

Then Akeno turned, noticing the two guests—and smiled when she saw Sun Jing. "Oh, I didn't see you there, Jing-chan~"

"Uh, hey, Akeno-senpai…" Sun Jing said awkwardly, still trying to pretend she hadn't just seen what she saw.

Akeno stepped closer, her eyes glinting playfully. "I'm really glad you came~" she said softly, placing a gentle hand on Sun Jing's arm and giving her a teasing wink.

Sun Jing's heart nearly stopped, her face burning up. Why does she always do that…?

Behind them, Koneko rolled her eyes and muttered, "She's flirting again."

The sound of the shower stopped, and the air grew still. Then, the curtain was drawn back, and a wave of steam poured into the room.

Welcome," Rias said, now fully dressed. "I've been waiting for the two of you."

"We'd like to officially welcome you into the Occult Research Club," Rias said, her tone calm but commanding.

"Uh… thanks," Issei mumbled, shifting nervously on the couch next to Koneko, while Sun Jing sat beside Akeno, still trying to calm her racing heart.

Rias continued, "But you should know—the name of the club is just a front. It's supposed to look like we're some sort of hobby group."

"Okay… so what is it really?" Sun Jing asked, her curiosity piqued.

Rias's blue eyes locked onto her. "Since you asked, I'll be frank. I'm not the only devil here."

"Wait… you're saying all of you are devils?" Issei blurted, eyes wide.

"And Yuuma from yesterday? She's something else entirely," Rias said. "A fallen angel. One that our dear Sun Jing here already defeated. Some might confuse us with them, but it's not the same. Fallen angels serve God, or at least claim to, but it's too late for them. Their dark emotions have dragged them into the underworld."

Sun Jing raised an eyebrow. "So, she was trying to kill people…?"

Rias nodded. "The confusion is understandable. They walk the earth misguiding humans, but their ultimate goal is supremacy over our realm. And yes, angels—those truly sent by God—are also dispatched to eliminate devils. So we're constantly defending ourselves from both sides."

"Man… that sounds rough," Sun Jing muttered.

"It was… rough, to say the least," Rias admitted, her voice softening. "Now, Sun Jing, I have an important question. What exactly are you?"

"Huh? Aren't you like… human?" Issei asked, squinting at her.

"Uh… not exactly. I'm a fairy-demon hybrid," Sun Jing replied simply.

Rias tilted her head, clearly intrigued. "A fairy-demon hybrid… I've never heard of that before."

She leaned slightly forward, her tone persuasive. "I could make you a devil, and you could join my peerage. It would… simplify things for you. Especially after what happened with Issei. Since he was on the verge of death, I reincarnated him—why not extend the same protection to you?"

Sun Jing's system pinged with a warning.

[Becoming a devil would introduce unnecessary weaknesses. Your current fairy-demon hybrid form is far superior. Decline is advised.]

"Uh… I'm going to have to decline that offer," Sun Jing said, shaking her head. "I think I'm fine the way I am."

Rias's smile dimmed slightly, but she nodded gracefully. "I understand. It's your choice. I merely wanted to offer the opportunity."

As the room settled into silence, Sun Jing's system pinged with a new notification:

"What about your parents, Sun Jing? Do you… know them?"

"Uh… my parents?" Sun Jing leaned back slightly in her chair, her magenta eyes distant for a moment. "Never met them, so I don't really care. I was adopted by a human guy who took me in as his niece and raised me. I only discovered my magic recently."

She shrugged. "Honestly, I'm fine with probably never meeting them. If they really cared… I'd still be with them, right?"

Rias nodded, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "I see… that explains a lot about your independence. You've done well to get this far on your own."

Sun Jing stood up, brushing off her uniform. "Well… I should get going home. See ya!" she said, flashing a casual smile.

Koneko gave a small nod from her couch, and Akeno leaned over slightly. "Take care, Sun Jing. Don't push yourself too hard." she said, a faint teasing smile tugging at her lips.

Sun Jing waved back as she headed for the door.

As she left the Occult Research Club room, Issei muttered under his breath, "Why does she have to be so… unbothered by everything? Ugh, and she's stronger than me too…"
