Nicholas sat in his office, his eyes fixed on Rachel as she worked to uncover the identity of the person who had sent the fake files.
"I've tracked the address to a suspicious location," Rachel said, her eyes locked on the screen. "But I need more time to pinpoint the exact location."
Nicholas nodded. "Keep working on it. I want to know who's behind this."
Just then, his phone rang. It was an unknown number. "Hello?" Nicholas answered, his tone cautious.
"Nicholas, you're in danger," a mysterious voice said on the other end. "Someone close to you is playing a double game. Be careful who you trust."
The line went dead. Nicholas's eyes met Rachel's, a sense of unease settling in.
"What was that?" Rachel asked, her brow furrowed.
"I don't know," Nicholas replied, "but I think we just got a warning."
Nicholas's mind was racing. Who could be behind the mysterious call? And what did they mean by "someone close" to him?
He looked around the room, his eyes lingering on Alex, who was chatting with a colleague. Could it be him?
Nicholas's gut told him to trust his instincts. He needed to investigate further.
"Rachel, dig deeper into Alex's alibi for the time the files were sent," Nicholas instructed. "I want to know if he's involved."
Rachel nodded, her fingers flying across the keyboard. "I'm on it, Nicholas."
