"But seriously, when did you guys become close enough that Bryan slept over and even burrowed your clothes?" Avery asked as we waited for a cab.
"I was the one who asked him to see a movie with me". Bryan answered, and Avery gave him a look which he returned like they where communicating. Soon Avery laughed which Bryan soon followed.
Is this how best friends are, able to communicate with their eyes. Anyway we soon held a cab to school.
Left them and went on my way while they greeted almost every body they saw.
Like every other day in class, I had my headphones on with no music and my head down on my desk when someone tapped me. I was sure classes was yet to start so I ignored it, but obviously the person didn't get my memo and continued to tap me.
Raising my head I glared hard at the person who raised his hand in surrender.
"What do you want?" I questioned the person obviously a new face, (not like I can really tell).
"Sorry man, I didn't mean to disturb you, just trying to inquire if the seat beside you is taken?" He asked gesturing at the empty space beside me.
Of course no body sits with me but am not telling him that. "The seat is taken." I gave a plain white lie. Am not about to have someone sit next to me.
"Alright then." He said then left.
The English teacher, who happens to be our form teacher, came in after he left. The teacher introduce him as a new student whose name I didn't bother to remember. And unlucky for me, the seat beside me was the only available space, so the boy had to come sit beside me.
"I thought you said the seat was taken?" He questioned.
Like what the f**k, you already knew I lied so why question me. Do you expect me to say, 'sorry man, I lied because I wanted my space'. Like, f**k you. I rolled my eyes at him. I knew I already hated him.
Yeah, that's me for you. Anyway, classes went by and soon it was lunchtime. I arranged my stuffs to leave cause I was very hungry, when the new guy stopped me.
"Hey man, are you going to the cafeteria." He asked.
Like where else will I go, but me being me I said, "Nope." Then turned and left.
I ordered my food and sat on my usual seat in the far Conner of the cafeteria.
Half way through my meals I saw Avery, Bryan and the new guy in my class work in. Bryan was laughing and all smiles with the new guy which somehow made me hate the new guy more. Like just yesterday, Bryan was all over me and today, his laughing with some damn f**ker.
Somehow, I lost my appetite, but am not about to leave my food half finish, so I stuff down my food. Then stood to go drop my plate and then like always, Avery called and weaved with a smile that somehow annoyed me. Bryan and the new guy turns and stared at me. Bryan smiles at me while the other guy is giving me, 'i thought you were not coming to the cafeteria.' look.
I moved to pass when Bryan called me. "Adrian."
I stopped to look at him. But before he could answer, someone bumped into me and his food spilled on my jacket, the motherf*cker who bumped into had the guts to tell me rudely, 'Watch the hell where you are going ' and then bumped shoulders me and walk away, like damnit.
Okay this is another part of me you don't know yet. I DON'T F*CKING TAKE SH*T FROM NOBODY. I draged back the motherf*cker by the neck.
"Like, are you blind, stupid or just born without common sense." I spat with annoyance in my voice. "You bumped into me, spill your food on me, then plan to just walk away?" I asked.
"What the hell, don't you know who I am?" He asked in anger.
"Don't know, don't care." I responded. Stepping closer to him to intimidate him and believe me I did. My height and cold face always those that. "Am gonna be doing a little payback, so next time watch the f*ck who you bump into." I said and before he could register what was happening, I took the food Infront of Bryan and dumped it right on the person's head.
"Now if you would excuse me." I said then left not without bumping shoulders with him.
I went to the toilet to clean up and thank God only my jacket was stained it didn't touch my school uniform. While raising my jacket someone came in and stood beside me.
"Wow, that was really good show you put up back there". From the voice I knew it was Bryan.
I ignored him and continued what I was doing but Bryan stretch his hands to take a wet paper towel beside me then held me by the chin to make me face him. Using the towel, he wiped my cheeks.
"You have something on your face." He said I stared at his face that was close to mine and for some reason my heart was beating fast. "You know that guy is the principals son, Brock, very popular for his bullying." By now he was done cleaning what he was cleaning from my face as he stepped back and threw the towel in the dust bin.
"Let me guess, You don't care who he is." Bryan said and smiled. "Although, I admire you for that, you got to be careful cause, Brock doesn't play fair."
"Whatever." I said.
"By the way, I was going to introduce you to Mickey before this whole thing." He said gesturing at my jacket that I left on the sink..
I needed no sooth sayer to tell me who Was the Mickey he was talking about. "And why do you need to introduce him to me?" I asked in annoyance.
"Cause you guys are in the same class and beside he was looking everywhere for the cafeteria before I came." Bryan said
"Like I f**king care." I said and took my jacket to leave.
"Come-on, how do you live without friends." Bryan asked as he chased after me.
"Comfortably." I replied
"Haha" he laughed, "anyway, you own me a meal." He said and it just came back to me that I had dump his food on that Broom or whatever his name was. I took some cash to give him but he refused. " Take me out for launch some day instead." He said then walked away.
I stared at the cash in my hand then smiled.
