Chapter 49 - Murakami Intervenes

Ever since his near-berserk state the last time, Raven had rarely used his Amazon power, opting to use the Kaixa Gear instead.

Now, with the transformation complete, his power was indeed noticeably stronger than before. However, this wasn't necessarily a good thing for Raven, as greater power meant the belt's ability to limit his Amazon Cells was diminishing. He was close to the point where he wouldn't be able to transform while retaining his rationality.

But given the current situation, there was no choice; without unleashing his true strength, he risked being defeated by Kitazaki. That was something he absolutely could not allow.

"Whoa!"

Kitazaki leaped up in excitement. The sheer spectacle of Raven's new transformation seemed to captivate him.

"That belt looks much more fun!" he exclaimed, delighted by the worthy challenge.

"Sorry, but you can't use this one," Raven said flatly.

Immediately, his body became a purple blur, charging toward Kitazaki. Transformed into an Amazon Rider, his power and speed received a comprehensive boost, the data completely overwhelming the previous Kaixa form.

However, at the critical moment, Kitazaki switched to his Dragon Form. He successfully dodged the attack and tried to use the same trick as before.

But Raven didn't let him succeed this time. As if possessing a premonition of danger, he anticipated the move. He spun around and sliced backward with the fin blade on his elbow.

Sshh!

The surprising force of the elbow blade was astonishing. It instantly broke through the low-defense Dragon Form's armor, drawing a splatter of blood from Kitazaki's arm.

"That hurt…"

Kitazaki quickly retreated, immediately switching back to his bulky, high-defense Demon Form.

"But now this is getting interesting."

Rarely injured, Kitazaki became even more excited. He immediately clashed with Raven once more.

While Raven's current display of strength, in terms of overall combat data, surpassed Kitazaki's, the latter's Super Acceleration ability was simply too difficult to deal with. Although Raven could use pre-judgment to counter it, he couldn't succeed every time.

Despite taking several hits from Kitazaki, Raven's injuries auto-healed during the fight. Raven leveraged this advantage, adopting a strategy of trading blows with the Super Accelerated Kitazaki.

Meanwhile, Takumi and Keitaro were staring blankly, as though watching gods fight.

"They really are both monsters…"

Saeko, watching from a distance, offered the same appraisal.

At the same time, a luxury sedan from Smart Brain pulled up nearby. Seated inside were Kyouji Murakami and Smart Lady.

"President, who do you think will win between them?" Smart Lady asked curiously.

"Judging solely from what we see now, Kitazaki and this Raven seem to be evenly matched. However, in a prolonged battle, Kitazaki will fall first." Murakami's observational skills were incredibly sharp; he'd assessed the situation after only a brief watch.

"That exaggerated? What exactly is that guy? Humans can't possibly possess that kind of stamina, can they?" Smart Lady said, shocked.

"I am certain that guy is not an Orphnoch," Kyouji Murakami stated, his gaze fixed on Raven. He then added, "But he is also not human."

"Neither human nor Orphnoch… then what is he?" Smart Lady's expression was peculiar.

"I don't know. There are many things in this world that remain to be explored. Perhaps the path of human evolution is not limited to the Orphnoch way," Kyouji Murakami mused.

"Then how do you plan to deal with him? If even Kitazaki loses, we will have failed completely," Smart Lady asked.

"Perhaps we don't necessarily have to be his enemy," Kyouji Murakami replied after a moment of thought.

He knew who his greatest threat and enemy was: the former President, Hanagata. He was well aware of Hanagata's strength; not only was Kitazaki no match for him, but even Kitazaki and Murakami together wouldn't suffice. The Goat Orphnoch's power was probably something only the Orphnoch King could counter. Furthermore, Hanagata's authority within Smart Brain was unparalleled; he had founded the company, and most high-ranking Orphnochs were still loyal to him. Murakami currently held power only because Hanagata's disappearance allowed him to seize it.

"Not his enemy?" Smart Lady was surprised by Murakami's suggestion.

"As long as he has no ties to President Hanagata, we can absolutely find a point of peaceful negotiation with him," Kyouji Murakami concluded.

With that, he got out of the car and walked toward Raven and Kitazaki, who were still fiercely locked in combat.

"Stop, both of you!"

Kyouji Murakami stepped forward to mediate.

"Ah, if it isn't Mr. Murakami." Kitazaki, though caught up in the excitement, paused his attack.
