At this moment, Hyaku raised one finger toward the opponent. A cold voice immediately sounded.
"One cut. With the next cut, you won't be so lucky." He said coldly.
The slash he had just delivered was aimed at Gasparde's front. Ryūka was first blocked by the spike weapon before continuing through the opponent's candy-transformed body.
The weapon's resistance had diverted the blade's trajectory. Instead of cutting straight through Gasparde's front, the final wound ran along his side ribs.
Though it avoided vital areas, the slash was still enough to make Gasparde suffer intensely.
"Such arrogance! Then come and try it!"
Provoked by Hyaku's contemptuous tone, Gasparde clenched his fists and retorted defiantly.
"Ah!"
His body crouched slightly as low growls continuously emerged from his mouth.
At this moment, Gasparde pushed his Devil Fruit power to the extreme!
Splash, Splash!
Candy surged like a tide under his frantic control, continuously flowing from within his body.
Buzz, Buzz, Buzz!
The sticky candy liquid writhed and completely enveloped Gasparde's body. In just seconds, it formed a giant spherical mass.

He crouched slightly, positioning his feet one in front of the other in a sprinting stance. Both hands tightly gripped Ryūka's hilt, pressing the tip against the ground.

In an instant, blue-green sword intent energy streamed from his hands to the katana's hilt.
With a whoosh, it ignited.

As the burning green flames reached a certain concentration, a peculiar humming sound arose.
The dancing flames suddenly stopped and contracted onto the blade, condensing into a translucent green crystal layer — as beautiful and clear as jade.

Hyaku had already reached Gasparde. Watching the approaching fist grow larger in his vision, he dragged Ryūka along the ground, sending sparks flying everywhere.
When Gasparde's fist closed in completely, Hyaku raised his sword and slashed upward at an angle.
