I sat there but the moment I saw the picture on the desk, I couldn't help in getting curious to see who exactly was in that picture, I stood up and began talking a few steps towards the office but then I would suddenly stop, having a second thoughts and telling myself that it was better not to do this, but I will then continued to move forward again, thinking that I will just take a peak .
I could have done that using Spatial Eyes, but with how uneasy I was, I might end up alarming people who had sensory abilities like the siblings from before, not to mention that I had already arrived in front of that picture, so not wanting to waste another trip going back, I reached towards the picture on the desk with my hand .
Looking at the picture in front of me, I saw that it was a picture that had three people inside it, I was able to recognize two of the three people that were in this picture, the two siblings Tatsyua and Miyuki were young in that picture but I was able to recognize them with quite ease .
The other person was a woman who was taking a seat next to Miyuki and I can say that they had some resemblance, but the woman had a closer resemblance to Miyuki than to Tatsyua, he who was weirdly enough sitting away from both of them, but still smiled faintly .
I also noted that the women in the picture had a cold demeanor and was smiling yet, she didn't look happy one bit which was a bit disturbing, Miyuki in the picture was acting weird than the Miyuki I met earlier, how to put it, she seemed to be acting in a complete contrast way to the way she was dealing with her older brother earlier, she seemed a bit distant from him .
The woman was a beautiful woman with jet black hair, white skin, red eyes, the background behind them in the photo seemed to indicate that this picture was taken in an aquatic environment, a sea or something like that, it also didn't seem that it was photoshopped, the only thing that was a bit disorienting to me was the fact that I felt like I had seen this woman figure before .
I put the picture in hand back on the desk and sat back in the place I was in earlier at the couch while falling deep in thought as I recalled where and when did I see that figure before, in my dreams, I had dreamt of seeing that figure leaving me countless times .
So I couldn't be mistaken it, reaching that conclusion, I couldn't help wonder if the woman in the picture was indeed my mother, then was these guys supposedly my brother and sister as well, or I was misunderstanding something her, was the woman in picture indeed my mother, I guess I will just wait to meet her and confirm it myself, what a troublesome situation that was .
As I was engrossed in my own thoughts, I heard the sound of the door behind me opening and couldn't help but turn my head around to see who was exactly coming into the room, my nerves were already wrecked enough, but after seeing the old butler who appeard from another door, I almost threw the table in front of me at him .
Seeing me agitated like this seem to both confuse him and gave him some pleasure as well, then with a voice that was tainted with a bit of smugness, he said :
Excuse my old age, I forget to ask you earlier, if you would like something to drink ? .
I released a sigh then shook my head at him and he once again was about to disappear from the room, but then his eyes looked at the office desk, or to be more accurate, he looked at the portrait on the desk, then he glared at me and entered the room, fixed the picture back to where it was originally and gave me a cold hmph and retreated from the room silently, I didn't react much to this outwardly, but inwardly I was cursing myself for listening to my damned curiosity .
Once again, I was left in the empty room, fighting the mix of emotions and stimulating numerous situation on how will my meeting with the Yotsuba Family head go, as I was sitting like this, my new phone suddenly made some noise that startled me a bit .
I pulled it out of my pocket and wondered what exactly going on, I found that the signal was lost, so it shouldn't have been possible for me to receive a message, yes the noise from before was due to me receiving a message from someone who was registered on my phone as Sweetheart, seeing that name I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the picture of who might be the one who sent this message, appearing in mind .
Even though the signal was lost, the message was still delivered which both surprised me and caught a little my attention, opening my Spatial Eyes, I was able to see that there was a magical sequence attached to the message sent, I stored the magic sequence and my mind was suddenly filled with different ways to use it, I had completely grasped all that I needed to know to be able to use this magic and without a sequence .
But understanding this magic alone filled me with awe towards the female officer from before, even though this magic use in combat didn't gave much advantage, in a battle, this magic could be quite crucial and quite the effective weapon, after all this weapon was information, I only now understood what she meant when she said that she could help me in creating a new Id for myself, now, I too have gained the ability to do this as well .
The message was a brief one, she just said that the deal was accepted and that they were be waiting for me to go back and sign it, I sent her a thumb up emoji and instantly she replied with a startled one, I was about to send her another gift, the full Magical sequence she was using, but I began to hear a footsteps coming towards this room .
The sound of each step she took was being amplified by the use of Psions, this time I was certain that it was her, the person whom I have been waiting for, it was either this or that old man was now wearing heels just to upset me .
After a few seconds, the footsteps disappeared, I was intrigued to use Spatial Eyes, but decided against it in the last second, just as I was contemplating on what was going on, one the doors that was closed all this time suddenly was opened, then a woman stepped inside the room and her steps began to echo in the empty room again, one step after another, due to my seated position currently, I would have needed to turn my head back to see her .
But that was easier said than done, luckily she seemed to be somewhat aware of this or maybe it was me who was overthinking it a bit, the woman I was here to meet, took her seat on the office of hers and with a faint smile she looked at me playfully and said :
So Tatsyua-san still went against my wishes and had you contact the military first, huh ! .
I was surprised at the way she was aware of me contacting the military and the way said these words so carefree, as if they were completely unimportant little details, but her words and apperance made me realize that I was wrong about my previous guess, she was supposedly my mother and the head of the family, Yotsuba Maya, but even though she looked similar to the woman in the picture, she was very much different .
The woman currently leaning on the desk while she had a hand on her chin and showing a faint smirk was a beautiful woman that had purple eyes and seemed to share a few resemblance to me, no, it was me shared a resemblance to her, she was currently wearing a wine red formal one piece dress .
She was looking at me with both curiosity and something else that I wasn't able to interpret, as I heard her words, the first reaction I did was to stand up, the moment I did, I sensed that she seem to agitate her Psions and she tried to use her own presence and killing intent to pressure me, but I felt nothing, due to the fact that Black Hole was responsible on absorbing the Psion that were trying to infiltrate my mind .
Or to be more precise my Magic Calculation Area, yes she was trying to invade my Magic Calculation Area and probably destroy it instantly, all that didn't matter much to me, I still bowed to her with ease and said :
" Sorry for the inconveniences that my existence and my older brother's might have caused you .
The moment I said these words, even without raising my head and without using Spatial Eyes, I felt her stare on me intensify, it didn't bother me much, even though I felt that she just tried to kill me for no reason, I still didn't hold it against her for doing that, just after I saw her, it seemed that any preparations I made before meeting her had collapsed, like completely collapsed .
I looked calm and collected on the outside, but on the inside, my mind, my heart all were abnormally acting up all of a sudden, I wanted to scream at her for what she did but couldn't, I wanted to show her my own pressure and how much stronger was mine is compared to her .
But just as this thought appeard, it dissipated almost instantly as it appeared, I was a complete mess, even though my opinion on this family was quite bad and I could be said to have finished my business in coming here, I found myself still inclined to stay her a bit more, even though she was glaring at me and I may have probably opened an old sealed wound .
Or so was I thinking, but then I began hearing her loud laughter, yes, she was suddenly laughing, i still didn't raise my head and waited for her to give me permission. perhaps, after her laughter continued to echo in the empty room for a few more minutes, I heard her suddenly saying :
You passed the test, congratulations, I hope you serve the family well from now on, oh, right, how can I forgot, you can raise your head up, you don't need to apologize to me for something that I had a little to non-existent attachment to .
As I heard her say this, I couldn't help but raise my head and saw that she was smiling faintly as before while staring at me with a neutral expression on her face, she didn't seem to be as stern as Tatsyua, but she seemed detached from the current reality, from life, from everything .
I looked at her a bit confused, she seeing my confusion, actually chuckled a little and as if she understood the reason for my confusion, she said :
It seemed that you are confused, but at what exactly at me allowing you to rejoin the family or were you confused about me saying that I had no attachment to what happened that led me to give birth to you, share what you have in mind with me, but first I would like to know more about that big brother of you, I'm curious to why you didn't just forget about him, I believe that you already assimilated him, at least that what the reports seemed to imply .

That was my first impression of the woman's words, very cold even, the knowledge about human interactions that was inputted into me, were unable to help me anymore in understanding the logic or the lack of emotions in the woman's in front of me words .
I involuntarily opened my Spatial Eyes to make sure that she was indeed a human and not a robot or something similar, but after I activated my Spatial Eyes, I was met with a barrier of some kind surrounding here, similar to the one I saw Tatsyua conjure around him .
So the only logical explanation, was that he must have told her about his suspicions of my ability and the way to render it ineffective, but those were all nothing but his suspicions, I increased the output of Psions in my eyes and saw her eyebrows suddenly started to twitch slightly slightly then the faint amusing smile on her face turned into a deep frown due to losing her slight advantage just now .
" So you say that you don't care, but I can see that it wasn't that you don't care, but more like you were stripped away from being able to, was that related to the purple seal of Psions put into your brain, I can remove for you, if that what you want, just say the word and it will be gone .
The frown then continued to deepened, but then she sighed at my words with a raised eyebrow and eyes that were filled with confusion .
You are more guarded when dealing with the family than you are with the army, care to tell me why is that ? .
She completely discarded my offer and said this, his frown hasn't disappeared still, but it eased a little and she seemed to be waiting for answer to her question, I sighed and said :

" Actually, this wasn't the case, the truth to why I find the military so easy to deal with, was because I won't have to destroy the whole military before achieving my desirable results .
