It's more accurate to say that he was gazing at me than to say he was staring, he was using someway to sense my existence and he unable to pierce through the walls like how my Spatial Eyes allowed me to, ended up gazing at where i was .
He felt my gaze at him too, a feat quite grand for someone who doesn't appear to be that much older than me, i wonder how old was he, this feat was grand due to the fact that he was the very person to do so on all of the last 13 years, he from the looks of it seemed to have a special eyes like mine .
The guy in front of me aside from his deep-set eyes and piercing gaze and his stoic countenance, he had a dark black hair that reaches his clear dark blue eyes in several unevenly-cut bangs, he was wearing a training uniform that was a bit similar to the uniform worn by those guys above me, but his was still somewhat different .
This wasn't the first time i saw this guy, but this was the first time we had an interaction with each other, i noticed him appearing from time to time by the area, he seemed to be gathering information about the facility, the facility that was being used as a cover up
After all the distance between this facility and the mountain where they trained close by was quite far, but with my eyes and using Psions as a medium, i was able to cover the distance without a problem,
We kept staring, gazing at each other in silent, he was sizing me up and i was doing the same with him, he stared at another direction blinked and then he left, i was in a bit of shock at how decisive he was, even though i wanted to interact with him a little seeing that something was weird with him and him being as old as me was also quite the bonus .
But after he left, i didn't care much about him and returned back to my new experiment, i was currently trying to cut ties with gravity and if my line of thought was right if i were to succeed i will be able to fly, i currently have no place to fly to but hopefully i will be able to find one in the near future .
During those years, i was able consolidate a lot knowledge about both magic and myself, one of these pieces of knowledge what encouraged me to start experimenting with what i call Flight Magic .
Due to the existence of Psionic Nuclear Reactor and its influence on my magic, my magic gained something akin to immortality, my magic spells effects can last as long as i want them too, for an example if i were to cast Psion Bullet, then not only will i be able to shoot as many as Psion Bullets as i want, but i can make them act in different way than they ever did before .
I can make them revolve around me and completely act as a shield in front of me, not that i will need to or anything like that, since my current physical strength was something incomprehensible to even me, but that was something cool due to it opening my eyes towards new countless applications of spells, it was what also helped me greatly in creating my own set of spells .
My current idea was to use my Black Hole ability to completely remove the influence that the gravity had on me, then using both Movement form of magic and Acceleration form of magic, i will then able to easily move once i'm in the air, but that easy said than done, it will require quite some time before this research of mine have any results and this wasn't the only idea i have in mind .
I would still able to fly if i were to keep using Launch to keep launching myself up, but then it will be no longer accurate to describe it as flying, throwing myself at sky will be the befitted description for it .
Seeing that the one hour was almost over, i stopped contemplating about those things and went out of the room, heading towards the room where my siblings were, i was trying to awaken their conscious and give them the same gift of feeling that i had been given, but even with Fabrication in use, the moment that they become conscious, they will try to take their own lives without a second thought, so i from time to time kept giving them some sort of a cure in the shape of illusions .
Illusions so real in their mind, where they are able to live an entire lifetime together with people they loved and are loved by, but that was all that i can do for them, whatever they done to them was something irreversible, unlike me, so at least in those illusions they can live dream lives .
I used to try some of those illusions on myself, but my brain kept on sensing the abnormality of the situation and so no matter how hard i tried my mind wasn't buying it one bit .
I'm now able to freely roam in the facility as long as i'm under surveillance and accompanied by guards and of course i'm limited to an already set parameters .
After finishing my day as regular with classes on different subjects and running a few tests and donating samples of blood and other fluids, i went back to my room and slept, the next day for the first time in years i had not dreamt of my mother, no i had dreamt of something more incredulous, the dream was weird due to the fact it came to appear to me as a memory, it was so realistic, in the dream i was a baby, in that dream my mom didn't abandoned me instead she was playing with me in a lush garden, then i woke up up and for the first time in more than a decade, i actually had a great smile on my face instead of the normal teary face .
I suddenly sensed someone staring at me intently and looked around me to see who was the culprit behind the staring .
Somewhere in the distance, i saw the guy from before looking at me in the same way like yesterday, but this time he was holding a sign in his hand, on the sign were the question, who are you ? .
I didn't react to the sign at first, shocked at the sudden interaction, but i soon woke up from my trance and went to a blackboard and wrote " Can you see me " on the blackboard and luckily i have an hour of not being under surveillance, so i won't need to worry about being found out .
I looked at him waiting for him to respond and he nodded his head still expressionless as before, then he once again pointed at the sign in his hand .
Seeing that he nodded, i was about to ask him who was he, but he beat me to it, i was a bit conflicated about what to tell him, i can tell him that i'm number 40 as those researcher kept on calling me, but that will go against my big brother Ryuu wishes, but i was also a bit guarded against the black haired guy .
After all he might be a trap set by the researchers here and all of this was nothing but another mere simulation, they wanted me to partake in, his appearance wasn't the issue, but his frequent appearance and him now trying to interact with me certainly was .
I was at loss of what should i say, but in the end i decided to take a risky approach and tell him the truth, he might be the only person that i'm able to actually interact with, if he would agree to lend me a helping hand, then i might even be able to ask him to search for the Yotsuba family manor, so i wrote on the blackboard
" Hello, my name is Yotsuba Ryuu, i'm 13years old almost 14, nice to meet you, who are you ? .
I looked at him to see what his reaction, but he took all the words i said with a blank expression, but if i were to note something, it will be his eyes suddenly contracting when he finished reading those words .
And nodded his head then left the place once more, i scrubbed the words on the blackboard and thought that i might have made a big mistake, but seeing that there was no point on dwelling too much on it, i let it go and continued to train with my magic .
The next day, the guy coming back again with a different sign this time, completely took me by surprise, i thought that the next visit i have will be the researchers coming to congratulate me on falling for this trap, but he actually was the one to visit, he visited in the same period of the day, every day for over 4 months .
With different signs, most had questions about what was going on this secret facility, why was i down there and all sorts of inquiries, that i had no problems with giving an answer for, i also got to know that the name of the guy in front of me was Ooguro Ryuuya, he said that he had a mission to come and inspect the institution that i was in, he already got what he needed and he was just confirming what he already knew by talking to me .
I was surprised that he was doing missions at this young age, all the information in my mind was suggesting that people our age would be enjoying school and began mastering their magic, but i guess we both were excluded from the norm category .
Every day he come and chat with me a bit using signs, even though i was a bit happy about this interaction of ours, since we both love magic and research, we were like drawn to each other and soon become what normal people could call friends, but i was also feeling a bit sad and frustration, due to me understanding that soon all of this will come to end, he will leave this place and i might never see him again .
That day finally came on my 14th birthday, he came and congratulated me and wished me a long life, then said he will come again to visit after some time but he never did, my mood became sore in the next few months .
But i never stopped trying to improve and understand the limit of my powers, thanks to my determination, i made a few new discoveries, my magic didn't gain immortality as i thought but it can have long lasting effects as long as i needed it to, that was not much different from the immortality that i had thought of before, but there was a huge difference, my Magic can still be interfered with and even stopped if someone has a more powerful ability to rewrite Eidos better than me .
That was one of the few discoveries i made after my talk with that friend of mine, another discovery was completely coincidental, but by using my Psionic Nuclear Reactor, i can actually able to relieve my urges for food and water, meaning that if i want, i can have my my body continue to stay at its best state without feeling any sense of tiredness or hunger, i can keep sustaining my peak performance state using Psions, this is still theoretical, but if proven to be correct then i will become a human perpetual motion machine .
It was out of pure coincidence due to the fact that i came to have a few clues about this from some of the physical test that should have tested my stamina limit, but i exceeded the limit that was expected and i wasn't even close to stop, but was forced to because the treadmill that i was on broke down .
The test was going to be cancelled, but continued with order of Maglan who happy to have a chance of recording all these new data, the other tests should have left me exhausted and famished but after i finished all the tests, those two feelings were never felt by me, i returned to my room that day and found a feast of delicious and nutritious food, even though i can eat what i want, i waited to when i will begin to feel hungry, but the feeling of hunger never came and the food got cold .
I used Magic to heat it back, but i did so absent-mindedly which resulted in the sirens inside my room to all go off, after some incident was Maglan, the restrictions on me using magic became even more severe, to the point that i now had been restricted from using Magic outside the test room and only able to during tests .
But thanks to one of those tests i was able to create my Anti-Magic Field, using both the Antinte Magic Sequence together with my Black Hole, i was able to create a field around me where Psions were being both jammed and Swallowed, the moment other magicians spells were to come closer to the area where the Anti-Magic Field in effect in, they will disintegrate, the duration i'm able to keep this field up is currently 3 seconds .
Due to the fact that its effects being almost like cutting off the area under effect from the influence of the world, i keep clashing with the strong resistance of the world, trying to reclaim his land over and over again, but i had no doubt that the duration and the distance covered by the Field will continue to increase as i grow stronger and currently i'm able to use it sparingly without any need for a cooldown and such, so there was no much of a problem .
A few months later, i was once again visited by the dark haired guy, this time he asked me whether i want to get out of this place, which i replied too by nodding and telling him that i wanted to leave, but i don't know where to go after that, the information i gathered during all these years weren't helping me much regarding this .
I was then surprised by the fact that he actually proposed to get me out if i wanted to, but i still told him that i had yet to know my mother first name, yes that what i was looking for, i knew that she is a Yotsuba, but her first name was still unknown to me .
I was once again surprised when he said that a few of his superiors wanted to actually meet me, so he said that he will help to unvail the name name of my mother for me, i nodded and once again he disappeared .
Then a few days more all different things happened to lead to this day, the day i got out of the facility i have been in for all 14 years of my life, i got to finally become free or so i thought .
