"Was that… Mini Flame?"
Recognizing Agumon's familiar attack and the two signature moves listed on the panel—Mini Flame and Sharp Claw—Aoyagi's expression twisted in disbelief.
When Agumon charged in, he'd been worried something might go wrong. But… one move took out an Unown in a single hit?
Wasn't the power of these [Signature Moves] a bit too strong?
Agumon, seeing its attack hit the mark, showed no sign of stopping.
Raising its arm, tipped with hard, sharp claws, it charged headlong at the swarm of Unown, completely undeterred by their overwhelming numbers.
"Mini Flame!"
"Mini Flame!"
"Mini Flame!"
"…"
One fireball after another erupted from its mouth, relentless and rapid, overwhelming the Unown before they could react.
It was thirty-two against one—an overwhelming advantage for them.
Yet, not only had this creature landed a sneak attack to knock out one of their own, it now had the audacity to charge at them! The sheer arrogance was intolerable.
The Unown were furious—again.
Their hearts burned with rage, but they were met with flames that burned even hotter.
A barrage of Mini Flames rained down, forcing the charging Unown back.
A few unlucky ones, too slow to react, took the hits head-on, plummeting to the ground scorched and out of commission.
Their fury was snuffed out by fire.
The Unown's minds short-circuited. Did this thing's attacks have no cooldown? How could it keep spamming like that?
In that moment, over twenty Unown were completely suppressed by a single Agumon.
Even Aoyagi, watching from the sidelines, was stunned by Agumon's reckless ferocity.
His original plan had been to use the Unown's power to break the boulder, explore the ruins, summon a Pokémon, and ideally avoid conflict altogether.
If that wasn't possible, he'd rely on the summoned Pokémon to escape their pursuit and leave the ruins.
But now, things were veering far off script.
Not only was his summoned Pokémon an Agumon, but it was now fearlessly attacking the swarm, dominating them completely.
He'd suspected Agumon, already twice-evolved, would outclass Pokémon of the same level, and its one-hit KO with Mini Flame proved it. But to maintain that dominance against over thirty opponents?
There didn't seem to be any need to flee now.
This was a perfect chance to gauge Agumon's combat prowess and experience the thrill of a Pokémon battle firsthand.
Aoyagi opened the panel, collecting data on the Unown while observing the fight.

Scanning three Unown and seeing their bond values, Aoyagi couldn't help but chuckle. "Wow, they really hate me."
Under the searing heat of Agumon's flames, he continued checking the other Unown.
"They're all around level 7, with only Hidden Power as a move. Given Agumon's Dragon typing, their ability to deal damage is pretty limited."
Aoyagi muttered, his eyes drifting upward on the panel's blue text.
There, in a corner, was an Unown noticeably larger than the rest, its massive eye fixed on Agumon.
Locking his gaze on it, new information appeared.
[Species]: Unown[Category]: Symbol Pokémon[Type]: Psychic[Ability]: Levitate (Floats above the ground, immune to Ground-type moves)[Level]: 9[Learned Moves]: Hidden Power[Bond]: -50 (Extreme Hatred)[Status]: Fully Focused
Noting its larger size and level 9—higher than the others—Aoyagi guessed this was the leader of the Unown.
"But as the leader, it's not charging in and instead hiding in a corner, 'fully focused'…"
What was it focusing on?
The answer was obvious.
Realizing Agumon was a tough opponent, it had shifted from a swarm tactic to looking for an opening, waiting to strike.
Too bad Aoyagi spotted it.
"Agumon, hit the top-left corner with a Mini Flame!"
As Aoyagi called out, Agumon, who had just swatted an Unown away, glanced at the spot he indicated.
Spotting the distinct-looking Unown, it immediately spat a Mini Flame.
But the leader, alerted by Aoyagi's shout, grew wary. Realizing it was spotted, it quickly shifted position.
Barely dodging the Mini Flame, the Unown leader's eye narrowed. Ignoring Agumon, it shot a furious glare at Aoyagi, clearly annoyed at his interference.
A blue energy orb rapidly formed in front of it, hurtling toward Aoyagi's position.
Seeing this, Aoyagi cursed, "Seriously? Can't beat the fighter, so you target the bystander?"
Luckily, his reflexes had been honed over the past few days.
He swiftly ducked and rolled to the left, dodging the attack while shouting to stop Agumon from rushing to his aid. "Don't worry about me! That Unown's the leader—take it out first!"
Agumon understood, swatting away nearby Unown with its claws while brewing flames in its mouth, unleashing a relentless barrage at the leader's position.
Though this Unown was stronger than the rest, it was no match for Agumon in level or combat power. Chased and scorched, it dodged desperately.
Its ability to fly was its only saving grace, or Agumon's Mini Flames would have finished it already.
Even so, the leader was struggling, a corner of its body singed by a grazing flame, giving off a faint burnt smell and slowing it down.
Its path was bringing it closer to Aoyagi's position.
Perfect opportunity!
"Agumon!"
Aoyagi, closely watching the battle, shouted and spread his legs into a slight crouch, interlocking his fingers and resting them on his knee.
Agumon instantly got the idea, sprinting toward Aoyagi.
When it was two or three meters away, it leaped, landing precisely on Aoyagi's interlocked hands.
"Up!"
With a shout, Aoyagi thrust his hands upward with all his strength.
Using Aoyagi's hands and knee as a springboard, Agumon soared, propelled straight toward the airborne Unown leader.
At the same time, an orange glow gathered on Agumon's claws.
Its second [Signature Move]—Sharp Claw!
