"On the bed, of course," Su Ye answered the moment the question left my lips, patting the place next to him.
I stared at him calmly for three long seconds before asking, "And where are you going to sleep?"
He grinned, zero shame whatsoever. "With you, ofcourse."
I didn't blink back. "Sleep on the floor."
The silence that followed was priceless. His expression shifted from confusion, to betrayal, to dramatic horror like I had just asked him to sacrifice his firstborn.
"Wife, did I offend you in a past life?"
"You're offending me right now."
He pouted, looking extremly hurt. "Wife, have you… gained weight recently?"
My brows furrowed instantly. "Are you begging to die?"
Why did he suddenly go from bed to weight? Where was the connection? What switch in his brain malfunctioned for this to ask this? Moreover, wasn't he aware that its rude to comment on a woman's weight, regardless of whether she was thin or healthy.
