"We have to. Either we win or we die here," Yuki replied, licking her lips.
Even if she knew she couldn't win, she wouldn't back down from the opportunity of killing something that big. She readied herself. Somehow, she knew the beast would descend from the sky at any moment, and her goal was to kill it right then and there.
Selthia too was prepared for the attack. She summoned her trident and held it steady as she pointed it towards the sky. With how erratic the dragon's movements were, she wasn't confident that she could hit it.
The dragon's movements were reminiscent of a piece of fabric blowing in the wind. Its movement made it impossible for them to know when to strike or to attack. All they could do at that moment was wait.
So they did.
