Chapter 31 - Bonus: Happy New Year

It was almost Chinese

New Year, and the two brothers went to get their hair done. Back then, there were fewer styles, just curling and shaving. Dyeing your hair would get you punished by your employer, but men would still get their faces and sideburns trimmed, and they could still spend half a day in the barbershop.

Chu Jiajun refused to go, seeing through Brother Yong's scheme: You're just trying to trick me into getting my hair cut!

Ji Yongtao: I'm not lying to you, whoever tricks you is a dog.

Dafei barked happily beside him, thinking he was going to take him out to play.

Chu Jiajun was still abducted, because Ji Yongtao promised that if he accompanied him to get his hair done, he would take him to the movies on the way back and try on an imported red wall windbreaker.

When they arrived at the barbershop, it was packed with people and steamy, with two barbers constantly busy with customers.

The barber thought his long hair looked tacky, and Ji Yongtao agreed that more and more young people were growing long hair these days. It was just long, but there was no style. They could just get a perm or dye.

It was Chinese New Year, and he had received a bonus, so Brother Yong was willing to spend money on his younger brother: "Your school has no objection, right? If not, then we can do a style."

Chu Jiajun didn't want to cut his hair, but was eager to get it permed or dyed: "You won't touch me with the scissors, will you? "

The barber: "It still needs to be trimmed."

Ji Yongtao: "Are you scared? You're afraid of scissors, are you my younger brother?"

Chu Jiajun said nothing, but didn't want to give in: "Then... trim it."

Chu Jiajun: "Just a little bit, a little bit, a little bit will be fine! Don't use a very foreign color!"

The barber: "I've been doing hair since I was twelve, don't worry! "

-

Two hours later, the two walked out of the barber shop. Ji Yongtao lit a cigarette and comforted his younger brother squatting on the roadside. Chu Jiajun covered his frizzy hair and squatted on the roadside crying.

Barbers are the most untrustworthy people in the world. He realized it today.
