Cassian's POV
"I didn't mean to, I was just…"
"Save it, Luciana, save your pretence for a fool who can accept it."
Then something inside me snapped. I have never felt the cold, I think now, even after my father's death.
I raised my gun, pointing it at Luciana, and then changed my mind. Death would be the easiest way out. I directed it towards the guards holding Marcus.
Bam! Bam!
The guards holding Marcus dropped instantly.
Luciana stepped back, eyes wide, shaking, her own gun lowering as panic took over.
She wasn't expecting me to lose it. She wasn't expecting to see the monster again.
"It's been a while, Luciana. I think we could play," I said, walking towards her.
She turned to run, and she leapt through the shattered window.
A scream tore from her throat as she hit the stone pavement below.
Her bones cracked, and she couldn't get up. How easy had she imagined it would be to invade my home, something other mafia bosses had never tried?
