Chapter 111: Voldemort Meet Dudley

He stepped through the shattered and collapsed building, his dark robes whispering across the marble floor. Red eyes glowed beneath the fading light, and behind him, the remaining Death Eaters give a way to their master.

Amelia stood her ground, though her heart pounded against her ribs.

"So," Voldemort murmured, his voice soft and venomous. "The Ministry lioness stands alone."

"I've stood alone all my life," she replied coldly. "I do not fear you."

A thin smile curved across his pale face. "How brave. How foolish."

He raised his wand.

The duel ignited instantly, a storm of curses and counter-curses filled the shattered manor.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Sectumvoro!"

Amelia dodged the killing curse by inches and Voldemort had a gut feeling that the spell that just casted by Amelia would explode his barrier, so he dodged too.

The Death Eaters stood watching , knowing better than to interfere. The Dark Lord despised interruptions.

Mipsy, the loyal house-elf, remembered his training with Dudley. He had forgotten his Desert Eagle, but he still had his magic and he would not back down.

One Death Eater noticed and raised his wand to stop him, but Voldemort saw first. For a mere house-elf to interrupt a wizard duel was humiliation beyond tolerance.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The curse flew.

Amelia reacted instantly, transfiguring the marble beneath her feet into a jagged wall. A normal Protego couldn't block the Killing Curse, it needed something solid.

The green light struck the barrier, exploding in a blast of sparks that hurled Mipsy into a pile of rubble. He fell still, unconscious.

"Bombarda Maxima!" Amelia retaliated. The explosion rocked the hall, sending shards of stone and wood flying. Voldemort deflected it with a lazy flick of his wand.

"Confringo!" she shouted, spinning left. "Bombarda! Expulso!"

Voldemort moved like a shadow, graceful and deadly.

"Such strength," he said softly. "Yet compared to me, you are nothing."

With a mere gesture, a surge of dark energy slammed into her, flinging her across the room. She crashed into a broken pillar, gasping.

Voldemort advanced, wand raised. "You fought well, Amelia Bones. A pity you will die without an audience."

She pushed herself up, blood on her lips. "You'll find I don't die easily."

She unleashed another furious volley — "Diffindo! Depulso! Incendio!" — the spells collided with his defenses, detonating in a blinding shockwave that tore apart the remaining ceiling. Dust and embers rained down.

Voldemort's eyes blazed. "Avada Kedavra!"

The green curse tore through the smoke. Amelia tried to transfigure another shield, but she was too slow. The light was seconds away and then a deafening crash. A chunk of the fallen ceiling shot across the hall, colliding with the curse mid-air and scattering it in a burst of debris and light.

A white blur moved through the haze.

Dudley appeared, his movements unnaturally fast, grabbing Amelia, dragging her out of the line of fire.

"How dare you attack my people in front of me," Dudley said, his voice low and steady.

Voldemort turned, and every Death Eater froze. That voice, they knew it. They had heard it countless times before, echoing like a nightmare.

Through the smoke and dust stood Dudley Dursley, wand raised, eyes blazing. He stood protectively before Amelia and Mipsy, the air around him humming with power.

The battle had just changed.

---Dudley POV---

A second before they reached the living room, Harry collapsed in pain.

"Harry, you stay here and you, Dobby, make sure to stay with him," Dudley ordered. He felt Voldemort was nearby and if he waited for Harry to be okay, something bad might happen.

"No… Du… arghh," Harry groaned in pain.

Dudley left Harry and Dobby behind. Beside him, Kreacher looked imposing in his iron-mage armor.

"Kreacher, remember, don't show yourself first. Check if there are any werewolves or giants and attack them first. There's an invisible rune on the armor, hide from them. If you find no such enemies, you have permission to attack the Death Eaters," Dudley instructed.

"All right, Master Dudley," replied Kreacher. All the Rambo-style, iron mage training and commander training Dudley had taught him replayed in his mind. He was readier than ever to face Voldemort army.

Suddenly, they saw Mipsy thrown backward, and from a distance they watched a Killing Curse streak toward Amelia.

Dudley activated his gamer mode and used Swift Move, a technique that allows movement so fast it feels like Apparition and crucially, it can be used inside anti-Apparition wards. While others had difficulty maneuvering, he could move like someone who could Apparate.

He managed to grab Amelia and bring her to safety. Then he deactivated gamer mode and faced Voldemort.

"How dare you attack my people in front of me," Dudley said.

Gasps rose from the surrounding Death Eaters, at least seventeen were still standing and three lay down.

"You… are you Dudley Dursley?" asked Voldemort, his expression shifting into something like glee. Dudley could see other Death Eaters whispering and murmuring among themselves.

"Arghhh—TOM… Are you happy with my Patronus that I sent every day?" Dudley mocked.

"So it was really you," Voldemort said, visibly pleased to see him. After nearly a year of humiliation, Dudley had topped his most-wanted list.

"Dudley, go away, he is too strong, you can't die here," Amelia croaked as she found the strength to stand.

"Don't worry, this noseless bastard will lose here," Amelia added. "I've sent Patronus to Professor Dumbledore. It will take a few minutes before he arrives."

Even in front of Voldemort, Dudley did not feel frightened. He was not in gamer mode, mere Voldemort did not scare him instead he feel excitement, as a reader and gamers who won't feel excited infront of the last boss?

"You… you… how dare you? I will make you beg for death before I kill you," Voldemort threatened.

Dudley switched back into gamer mode, he didn't see the telltale circular build-up that would signal Voldemort immediate assault, which meant the Dark Lord wanted to talk more or wanted to humiliate him further. Dudley was ready to fight, he didn't want talk.

Who cared, he felt exhilarated rather than afraid in gamer mode. He raised his wand to strike first.
