Chapter 69: First Meeting

---Umbridge and Bellatrix---

Umbridge, Bellatrix and Rodolphus was given a mission from Voldemort to recruit the the werewolf tribe once again into their ranks. Although werewolves were considered half-breeds, their potential in warfare was comparable to that of and adult wizards. In fact, in some aspects, they surpassed wizards with their heightened physical speed allowed them to evade curses more effectively, giving them an advantage in chaotic battles.

Why was Umbridge included in this mission, especially alongside two of the most dangerous Death Eaters? The reason was rather simple. She had personally begged Lord Voldemort to spare her life and save her when Voldemort are saving his Death Eater in Azkaban, offering complete loyalty in exchange for protection and a place within his army. She claimed to be ready to perform any task, regardless of its danger or difficulty. Deep down, however, her motivations were selfish. She wanted revenge.... revenge against Harry Potter, the boy who had indirectly humiliated her and revenge against her former superior, Cornelius Fudge, who had discarded her when she was being judged in Wizengamot.

But bringing the most racist woman and assigning her to convince the werewolf is wrong, Umbridge was not a negotiator she was weak enough to intimidate the others, she lacked the charisma or strength to intimidate such a rough and proud group..

"Go on. This is the mission the Dark Lord has given you," Bellatrix snarled, her tone cold and laced with warning. She didn't try to hide her disgust. Bellatrix Lestrange loathed Umbridge. Partly because of her ridiculous pink wardrobe and overly feminine, frilly taste, but mostly because of her blood status. Dolores Umbridge was a filthy half-blood, a taint to Bellatrix, who only respected purebloods.

Umbridge flushed with humiliation. No one had ever spoken to her with such open contempt. Although British wizarding society didn't officially maintain a caste system, it was clear that blood status determined one's standing. The division between purebloods and muggle-borns was the most widely acknowledged, but within the pureblood community itself, there were unspoken hierarchies.

Umbridge feel humiliated, No one had ever spoken to her with such open contempt, there is never or anyone who said to her with the same tone that Bellatrix just done. Even though there is no caste system in wizarding british, only blood status between Pureblood and Muggleborn wizard. There are still unofficially caste system among pureblood, for instance, the Weasley family, despite being purebloods, were considered a lower caste due to them living in poor conditions. In contrast, the Malfoys stood at the top, with their immense fortune.

It is not because of Weasley being a muggle lover, even if they didn't become muggle lovers they are still lower caste because of their financial status. Gaunt family are looked down upon too and unofficially become lower caste pureblood.

Even though they are the rarest British wizards who have Parseltongue magic that can make them talk with snakes. Their ancestor is Salazar Slytherin, the most noble wizard among pureblood. The Gaunt are still cast out from the rank of nobility and even looked down upon by the majority of pureblood.

There are further examples, it is Longbottom and Potter. They have higher status because of their wealth and blood, so even though Death Eater branded them as muggle lover. In terms of nobility they are higher compared to Weasley.

But this is all unofficial that Death Eater didn't want to directly acknowledge it, because their purpose is to control muggle-born or possibly kill them.

"What are you looking at?" said Bellatrix while her wand aimed at Umbridge.

"Nothing," muttered Umbridge because she just remembered who Bellatrix really is, she and her husband are the most elite and loyal Death Eater.

"Don't forget your task. Your only job is to convince Greyback to join the Dark Lord's army again. If you fail at even this simple job, I'll make sure the Dark Lord knows about it," Bellatrix warned, her voice low and sharp like a dagger.

Rodolphus laughed, looking at the tensed face of Umbridge who was just warned by Bellatrix.

---Hogwarts The Day Of Meeting---

"Harry, are you sure your cousin told us to meet here?" Ron asked, looking around the area with visible discomfort.

They were standing a few corridors away from Argus Filch's office — a place most students avoided like the plague. The area always felt gloomy and tense, filled with bad memories of detention and Filch's constant lurking.

A small crowd had gathered. Most of them were from Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Not a single Slytherin had show up and no one was surprised because Harry won't invite Slytherin. The risk of exposing the club's activities to someone potentially loyal to the Death Eaters was simply too high.

"Where's Dudley?" Ron asked again, scanning the corridor.

"It's getting crowded," said Hermione, adjusting her robes.

Just then, the Weasley twins arrived with their usual mischievous grins.

"I heard Harry called us for this meeting," Fred said playfully.

"They say it's time to reveal the truth about that night," George added, wiggling his eyebrows dramatically.

"Finally, the truth revealed!" Fred exclaimed, placing a hand over his heart like a mock hero.

"Quiet down. We're waiting for Dudley," Harry said sternly, though the corners of his mouth twitched with amusement.

The twins looked hurt with Harry word, but the rest of the students chuckled at their antics.

"Oh, Dudley Dursley!" Fred cried again with mock tone.

"The brave defender of Hogwarts students!"

"The legendary hero who defeated the Dungeon Bat!"

"But seriously, where is he?" George asked, now genuinely curious.

"He's probably waiting until everyone has arrived before starting," Harry replied, glancing around. It seemed like everyone had come to this place.

Suddenly, Krreekk, something unbelievable happened.

A door appeared... no, it materialized right into the wall in front of them. Gasps echoed through the group. That section of the castle wall had always been solid stone. Beyond it was supposed to be the outer edge of the castle. There had never been a floor there, much less a hidden room. The fact that a door had appeared out of thin air give them a shock eventhough they are a wizards.

"Hello, everyone," Dudley said casually, smiling as he opened the door.

Every single student stared in disbelief. There he stood — Dudley Dursley, grinning calmly. Even the Weasley twins were struck speechless.

"What in the merlin name have you done?" asked Fred.

"Did we just see the birth of legendary wizard?" added George.

Before they could continue, Dudley gestured toward crowd and pointing them to the entrance. "Come on in. The room ready."

"Ouch, you cut us off" said Fred.

"Yeah, it seems the Hufflepuff is braver than Gryffindor" smiled George.
