Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Fairy Tail Guild

Passing through the bustling, worldly town and witnessing a dazzling array of novelties, Ankh and Makarov, one old and one young, arrived at the entrance of the Fairy Tail Guild.

Looking at the magnificent building before him, Ankh's mouth slightly agape, he said in surprise, "For a Mage Guild, it's truly rare to build something so beautiful."

Hearing Ankh praise the guild, Makarov's mustache perked up with pride, and he laughed, "Hahahaha, not at all, not at all..."

"Too bad the Guild Master looks quite foolish," Ankh walked to the guild entrance with an unperturbed expression, pushed open the large doors, and stepped inside.

Makarov immediately froze in place, then let out a helpless sigh. What a sharp-tongued brat.

As the guild doors swung open, a soft, bright sunlight spilled into the guild.

Inside the Fairy Tail Guild, the design was that of a luxurious tavern. Many powerful Mages sat at tables, drinking and laughing boisterously.

When everyone saw the doors open and a strange child enter, their chatter simultaneously quieted down.

Being stared at by so many people, Ankh felt no discomfort at all. Instead, he calmly surveyed the guild members.

Ankh didn't recognize most of the people here; he couldn't even put a name to their faces.

However, there was a small group of children gathered at one table who were not only similar in age to him, but Ankh also had some impression of their appearance.

There was a half-naked, cocky-looking kid, a scarlet-haired girl in armor, and finally... one with short, cherry blossom-like hair, energetic upturned eyes, and a white scarf wrapped around his neck.

The big sister and her two little brothers.

Ankh remembered this boy was the male lead of Fairy Tail; his name should be Natsu... Ankh's gaze lingered on Natsu for only a moment before quickly moving on.

At this moment, Makarov also walked in, placed a hand on Ankh's shoulder, and smiled as he greeted everyone, "Everyone, this is Fairy Tail's new member. Please get along well!"

With that, Makarov looked at Ankh again, his mustache perked up, and smiled, "Introduce yourself."

Ankh frowned and said in a low voice, "My name is Ankh."

Ankhseram...

Ankh secretly nodded, then paused and said, "Ankhseram, that is my name."

Everyone fell silent in unison, and then, there was a huge cheer!

"What a beautiful, enchanting little beauty! Wakaba!"

The guild members enthusiastically waved their hands to greet Ankh, and as an elder of the guild, Macao Conbolt raised his glass and said with a feigned mature sigh.

As Macao's rival and good friend, Wakaba, with his proud pompadour and smoking a cigarette, scoffed, "You're getting old and blind, Macao. That's clearly a young man!"

Although his appearance was even softer and more handsome than Erza and Cana, who were his age... the guild members showed no signs of rejection towards Ankh's arrival; instead, they all warmly welcomed him.

Due to Guild Master Makarov's benevolence, Fairy Tail was currently in a period of nurturing a new generation, so new members were generally much younger.

Cana, who had joined early, Erza and Gray, who had joined in recent years, and Natsu, the fire-breathing brat who had only arrived last year.

So, the entire Fairy Tail Guild was now filled with the unique atmosphere of young people.

What the guild members didn't know was that this group of inconspicuous, boisterous brats would, in the future, become Fairy Tail's most formidable Golden Generation.

The people of Fairy Tail were very friendly towards Ankh, which made him feel a little unaccustomed.

Interesting... Ankh, this guild seems to be worth staying in for a while...

Seram said with great interest in his mind. Ankh asked subtly, "Is something wrong?"

Deep beneath this building, there's a very creative magical fluctuation.

Ankh asked, puzzled, "What do you mean?"

Immortality combined with the genius research of later generations unexpectedly merged to create a special container that can produce infinite magic...

Infinite magic?

Ankh tilted his head, his eyes gleaming, and said, "Can we get our hands on that thing?"

Who knew that Seram suddenly showed disdain afterward, huffing and puffing as he spoke.

It's merely a crude research method. This kind of artificial infinite magic, although it grants pseudo-divine magic, comes at the cost of being unable to unleash the true power of one's own magic.

Ankh scratched his head, not knowing what to say.

Was Seram's vision too high, or was Ankh's knowledge too shallow... For his current stage, he thought having infinite magic was quite awesome.

Infinite magic is nothing, but in this guild, if it's just to replenish depleted magic, using that mysterious infinite magic is certainly fine.

So that's it. In that case, even if I train outside and run out of magic, infinite magic will continuously replenish it.

It's practically a cultivation holy land.

Ankh clenched his fist and said speechlessly, "But Seram, I can't feel any magic underground at all..."

Don't worry... I'll help you.

Just as the two were whispering and planning their future training, a series of clattering armor sounds came from nearby.

Ankh turned around vigilantly, only to see the valiant scarlet-haired girl, fully clad in tightly fitted light armor, clanking as she walked up to him and greeted him friendly:

"Hello, Ankh. My name is Erza Scarlet."

Erza, according to his past life memories, she was one of the future S-Class Mages, also known as the "Fairy Queen."

The young Erza.

However, after so many years with his senses sealed, Ankh's social skills were truly... "Mm."

After a long pause, Ankh managed to squeeze out a muffled grunt from his throat, which served as his response to her.

It was a good thing Erza's hearing was excellent, otherwise she might have thought he was ignoring her... But thankfully, Erza didn't mind too much. Children who joined the guild at a young age were more or less a bit reclusive.

For example, herself. When she first joined the guild, she was even more withdrawn than Ankh.

"The Guild Master asked me to help you get acquainted with the guild," Erza said with a slight smile, her hands on her hips, as her light armor clanked continuously.

Ankh nodded and said, "Thank you."

With that, Erza led Ankh, taking him around to several places.

As a famous guild in Magnolia, Fairy Tail naturally occupied a considerable area, even equipped with exclusive dormitories for Fairy Tail Guild members.

Ankh waved his hand speechlessly, seeing off Erza, who had brazenly barged into the boys' dormitory, and then entered the room Makarov had arranged for him.

The dormitory room was quite nice. It seemed someone had specifically cleaned it beforehand, and the room's furnishings and interior felt very thoughtfully arranged.

Ankh was very satisfied with his living quarters. He cautiously surveyed the room, then smiled and said, "Let's begin, Seram. What magic should I learn?"
