Taking Action
"...I refuse."
Tang Tianjie hadn't expected to be rejected immediately like this. He hurriedly raised his head to ask Bai Fanxian about the reason with curiosity.
Bai Fanxian still maintained the calm, cool demeanor of a high-ranking person. She sipped her tea lightly and enjoyed the evening atmosphere.
"Can you tell me the reason, Grandmaster Bai?"
"...I don't accept male disciples."

Uncle Huang explained to Bai Fanxian. Tang Tianjie also nodded in agreement.
"Mm...then make it a bigger house."
Bai Fanxian's answer almost made Tang Tianjie trip over his own feet. He hadn't expected the young woman to be so simple!

Tang Tianjie bid farewell to Bai Fanxian. After this he still needed to take the medicine to Yeye.
"Uncle Huang, will that child be alright?" Hui'er, who followed to see off the two old men at the door, asked with a worried expression.

"Then let's go." Tang Tianjie smiled while nodding lightly and began walking. Hui'er, however, stayed standing at the front of the room without moving anywhere.
That made the Tang clan head puzzled.

In Tang Yeye's room, it seemed to be the room with the most people gathered in the house right now. Both the lady and young master came to watch over the young miss constantly. The caretakers therefore had to be here as well, helplessly.
Tang Xiuhuan, after being confident his daughter would be safe for at least a day, stood outside the room exhausted. He was thinking of every possible way to treat his daughter.
He also knew about Grandmaster Lu Qing's disappearance. What his father said, of course, was just to reassure his wife.

Before Tang Tianjie could scold his son further, Bai Fanxian raised her hand to stop him calmly. She nodded to Tang Xiuhuan lightly and pushed open Tang Yeye's room door to enter.
Tang Xiuhuan watched the group of people walk into his daughter's room without understanding. He grabbed Uncle Huang who was walking in last to ask in confusion.
"What's going on, Uncle Huang?"
"Good news, young master. Grandmaster Bai will help the young miss herself."
"...What does that mean?"
Tang Xiuhuan was surprised. Uncle Huang, however, just pulled him into the room without explaining further. For him, wasn't Bai Fanxian a cultivator with extremely high-level power?
So why would she come treat his daughter?
Before he could stop her, Bai Fanxian had already walked to the bedside.
Tang Xinlan and Tang Letong felt someone approaching. Seeing it was Bai Fanxian, the young man furrowed his brow in confusion.

He looked at Bai Fanxian with hopeless eyes.

Bai Fanxian extended her hand to the side without turning to look at Tang Tianjie. The ash-gray pill shot out from the chest pocket of the old man. It floated straight into Bai Fanxian's hand gently.
Tang Xiuhuan and the people who had never seen it looked at this ash-gray pill uncertainly. From its color, it looked more like poison than a pill. There was also no aura that a high-level pill should have emanating from it at all.
Tang Xinlan, seeing Bai Fanxian about to put that suspicious pill into her daughter's mouth, broke away from her husband's embrace. She tried to run in to stop her without caring about anything.

The people around all looked at the little child with hope.
