Chapter 2 - The Fate of a Betrayer

"Lie?" Rover was startled. "What did I lie to you about? When?!"

Marika took a deep breath and said, "I thought… I was your only client. Why? Why do you have so many?"

Rover: "..."

"Goddammit! Are you stupid?" Rover snapped. "If I only had you, how the hell would I earn enough to achieve my dream?"

That's right—he only took on this job to save up a large sum of money, then move to a country where polygamy was legal and live happily ever after.

He wouldn't have to worry about anything anymore—he'd marry ten wives, live in a huge mansion, and enjoy life until the day he died.

He continued, "Besides, you often go on tour. It's normal for me to use my free time to serve other clients."

"And don't forget—the contract never said I couldn't take on additional clients while working with you."

"You… you liar!" Marika bit her lip, tears streaming down even harder.

"The hell?!" Rover was completely confused.

At that moment, another woman stepped forward—a mature, serious-looking lady dressed in an office suit, her sharp eyes cutting through him like a hawk's gaze.

Rover froze. This was the one woman he feared most among all his clients.

Judge Catherine.

"Rover, you really have a lot of free time, don't you?" Catherine said, her tone filled with mockery and coldness. "Handling seven clients at once… is that because you're talented, or because we're all easy to deceive?"

Rover shuddered and stammered, "Catherine, you can't say that. We have a professional relationship—you had a need, and I fulfilled it."

"The contract was perfectly clear. You were the one who read it most carefully, weren't you? You hired me, I went on dates with you. For the past five years, I've never broken a single clause. You can't call that fraud."

"Ah!" Catherine didn't answer, only stared at him, her gaze growing sharper by the second.

Rover trembled, truly frightened now. "Oy! You're a judge—you of all people should know that kidnapping is illegal! Let me go, or I'll—"

"What will you do?" Catherine said with disdain. "You deceived my heart, Rover. Do you have any idea what your punishment will be?"

Rover: "..."

"Catherine, what the hell are you talking about?" Rover sighed. "We had a business relationship. You hired me, I dated you. How did I deceive you? I even paid for meals and other expenses out of my own pocket!"

"Rover…" Marika's tearful voice cut in. "Why do you need so much money? You only need to focus on me. I can give you everything—money, status… I'll tell the whole world that you're my boyfriend. We can get married, okay?"

Rover was stunned. He never imagined that the goddess adored by tens of millions would say something like that to him.

But he quickly frowned and said firmly, "Of course not. Have you looked in the mirror? You're all standing at the top of society, and I'm just a greedy nobody. Why would you care about someone like me?"

"Rover, what do you need that money for?" Catherine asked, frowning.

Seeing their expressions, Rover gritted his teeth, too scared to speak the truth.

He knew that if he said something that angered these women, this day next year would be the anniversary of his death.

"All right!" Selvia suddenly spoke up, interrupting the tense silence. She smiled and said, "We all know why we're here, don't we?"

Rover's fear surged. "Oy! What are you all planning to do?! I'm warning you—what you're doing is illegal! Let me go right now!"

Catherine looked at him, her eyes filled with both pain and chilling coldness.

"Rover, since everyone is here… tell us clearly—who do you choose?"

"Heh!?" Hearing Catherine's question, Rover was startled. "Choose? What do you mean by choose?"

"You still don't get it?" Catherine sighed. "I mean exactly what I said. Out of the seven of us here, you're allowed to pick only one."

Rover: "..."

"You… you're all insane!" Rover's fear now mixed with confusion. "Choose? You're my clients—I'm the service provider! If you want to terminate the contract, just pay the penalty and I'll leave right away!"

"So he really did deceive us," another woman spoke up. She was as beautiful as the moon, her aura elegant and refined. "He only saw us as marks to exploit."

Rover gritted his teeth. "I'll say it again—I didn't break any contract. I haven't done anything inappropriate to you. You can't call me a fraud."

"If you want, I… I can refund all the money you paid me this year. Don't worry, I'll keep everything secret. You can…"

Kleng!

At that moment, Selvia suddenly picked up a steel saw, staring at it with a strange expression before turning her gaze to Rover, making him shudder in terror.

"If he won't choose, then we'll help him choose."

Hearing Selvia's words, Rover shouted, "Oy! What are you all planning to do?! Let me go! Now!"

"Help! Somebody help! Please, help me!"

Rover screamed at the top of his lungs until his throat burned, but Selvia only sneered.

"Hahaha… Rover, even if you scream until your throat rips, no one will hear you. We're seven meters underground and the whole place is perfectly soundproofed."

Rover's face turned as pale as death itself.

"I'll take the head. I want to see it every day," Catherine said coldly.

Rover shouted in terror, "Head? What the hell?! You… you…"

But no one paid attention to him. The seven women began dividing him up.

"I'll take the left hand. He always held my hand with his left."

"I'll take the right hand. He always used his right hand to pat my head."

"I want the waist. I loved hugging his waist—it felt safe and warm."

"I'll take the legs."

"Wait! You can only take one leg."

"I'll take his manhood."

"Ah! That works."

"Then I'll take his chest."

"I want his eyeballs—he has to see me paint every day."

"I want both his arms."

"I want his tongue too."

Rover listened as the seven most beautiful flowers of the city spoke such words, his hair standing on end, his fear reaching its peak.

"No! Help! Please! Help me!" Rover struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free from the chains.

"Good! Since it's decided, I'll start." Selvia smiled with excitement, picked up a syringe, and slowly approached Rover.

"No!" Rover screamed and thrashed violently. "No! Stop! You're insane! I didn't lie to you! AGH!!! Stop!!!"

"You bastards! AGH!! Hah! Stop!"

Selvia plunged the needle into Rover's arm. He felt his body grow heavier, as if his blood was thickening inside his veins.

"You… all of you…" Rover glanced at the beautiful women surrounding him, despair flooding his heart.

He had never imagined his end would be like this. He had never imagined that these elegant women at the top of society would act this way.

His eyelids grew heavy, his thoughts dim, like a fog descending over his mind.

'No!' His mind screamed. 'I still haven't fulfilled my dream… marry ten wives, live in a huge mansion, my money, I… I can't die…'

He looked at them; they looked back at him, their eyes filled with hatred and excitement. He realized those eyes were utterly mad and chaotic.

Just before his eyes closed, he saw each of them holding scissors, knives, and saws, closing in on him, their faces twisted with cold killing intent and ecstatic frenzy, and then…
