I always knew I was a nobody. From the moment I was born my parents new I was different. My parents both had green eyes, and mine were brown. My parents both had blond hair and mine was black. My parents has always said that my eyes just always looked empty, as if I had no life in me. I was just a void, a shell of a shifter.
However, I wasn't even a shifter. For all intents and purposes I was human. The moon goddess hadn't blessed me with a wolf. While most shifters shifted by the age of seven, I'm 17 and will be 18 in a week and still haven't shifted. I was always treated differently within my pack because well, I was basically human. I was the only shifter ever born with no wolf, so in a sense my parents were right I am empty.
My best friend xaden is the only one who never treated me differently. Which is shocking considering he's the Alphas son. Alpha Max didn't like that he has always been friends with me but xaden never cared about that he still always tried to protect me from the other pack members who had it out to make my life miserable.
And lo and behold he comes the worst one " Amelia fancy seeing you here " it's not shocking I come to this clearing almost everyday, watching the waterfall helps me clear my mind and everyone knows that unfortunately I've been coming here since I was 7. " How can I help you Alexis?" " I suggest you just stay home tonight. You know you're not going to find a mate at the mating celebration this evening so there's no need for you to be there. " Alexis sneered.
"While your probably right Alexis. I will be going in support of my best friend." And I don't need your input on what I choose and choose not to do." I responded. While these shifters make my life hell I always fight back. I may get my ass kicked at least I don't let them think I'm a pushover.
" Whatever Amelia, maybe there be some surprises in store for you." She laughed. Well that can't be good. Amelia thought to herself.
