Chapter 1 - Chapter 1. accident

In the vast order of the cosmos, every living being's existence is tied to a single candle. When its flame burns out, the soul's journey ends.

One day, the God of All Gods, known only as The Father, makes an unthinkable mistake he accidentally extinguishes the candle of a young mortal named Wis.

The death wasn't meant to happen; it was a cosmic error, a flicker too soon. Struck with guilt and compassion, The Father summons the mortal's soul to his divine realm to offer an apology.

They stand before each other a god who holds the universe in his hands, and a mortal who should not be there.

During their conversation, The Father offers Wis a choice:

"You may be reincarnated with any powers or destiny you desire,"

"Or live a peaceful, ordinary life in another world."

But Wis surprises him. Instead of choosing either path, he simply lowers his head and says softly:

"I have a request… I wish to remain here, to watch over the mortal world."

The Father refuses at first.

No mortal soul can exist in the Highest Realm for long the divine laws forbid it. Yet, moved by guilt and curiosity, The Father breaks the heavenly rule. He grants Wis a fragment of divinity, enough for his fragile soul to endure.

From that moment, Wis becomes something no god or man has ever been a mortal soul bound to eternity.

The Father tells him, "You may call me Father. There is no need for titles here."

Wis nods respectfully. "Then… what shall I do now, Father?"

Though the young man's tone is humble, his heart seeks not power, but understanding. The Father, seeing through his thoughts, smiles faintly.

"You seek knowledge, not strength. Then knowledge I shall give you."

And so, under the silent stars of eternity, the first forbidden bond between god and mortal begins.
