The morning sunlight slipped through the curtains, landing right on my face.
I opened my eyes slowly and sat up. Everything still felt unreal — the smell of fresh air, the sound of Pidgeys outside, and the peaceful vibe of a real Pokémon world.
"I'm… really here."
My heart beat faster.
The blue holographic screen appeared again.

[Unlocking Basic Starter Package…]
A small Poké Ball appeared in my hand — glowing faintly with golden energy.
I stared at it. "So this is my first Pokémon…"
Without wasting a second, I pressed the button.
"Come out!"
A flash of light filled the room — and then I saw it.
A small, silver-colored Eevee stood before me, its fur shimmering like stars. Its eyes glowed faintly blue.

"Woah…" I whispered. "A shiny Eevee? My luck is insane!"
Eevee tilted its head and jumped into my arms, rubbing its face against my chest.

A warm feeling filled my chest. For the first time since my death, I felt… alive.
But before I could celebrate, another notification blinked in red.

"What the hell?" I said.
The room filled with golden light again — and another voice echoed in my head, softer and more mysterious.

"Wait… humans too?" I said aloud.
The system didn't answer.

Eevee jumped onto my shoulder and barked once. "Vee!"
"Yeah," I said, grinning. "Looks like things just got more interesting."

The air was fresh, the streets quiet. Kids were playing with their Pokémon, and trainers were heading toward the forest.
A girl stood near a fountain — long honey-blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a red hat.
She looked familiar.
"Serena?" I whispered.
She turned toward me and smiled gently. "Oh, hi there! You must be new in town."
I nodded awkwardly. "Yeah, just moved here…"
For a moment, our eyes met. My wrist symbol glowed faintly.

I blinked in shock.
So the Bond of Hearts really worked on humans too.

I smiled. Yeah… and I think I just found one.

The stars outside shimmered brighter than ever.
