The dark sky looms above.
Stars shining bright across a faraway planet.
The Beautiful vegetation adorns the ground, the bright colors creating a unique sight that is quite hard to describe with words.
However, despite the beauty of nature, a terrible sight is taking place.
A young boy runs across the open field, his grey-ish skin drenched in sweat as he dashes forward.
He looks back momentarily to see his pursuers still right on his tail. A full army, many riding robotic horses and wearing full metal armor.
Thei'r catching up. No, they're deliberately taking their sweet time to fully tire the boy, practically mocking his attempt at escape.
He doesn't give up; however, he continues running, even though he knows he can't keep on forever.
In his run, he trips and falls, finally coming to a stop. He can hear the laughs from the soldiers, and they close the distance.
It takes a lot of effort for him to raise his head, exhaustion finally catching up to him; all he can do is mumble to himself.
"...Please... someone... save me..."
He made a silent plea to no one in particular, but he just hopes, he wishes, someone, anyone, could be here to be his savior.
Unbeknownst to him, a shooting star had crossed the sky right as he made said wish, and its effects were almost instantaneous.
BOOM!
A loud sound and a burst of light suddenly blasted in front of the boy and the army. Some soldiers fell backwards in surprise and fear, while the boy simply watched the view as a silhouette slowly formed inside the beam of light.
Once the light beam was gone, all that was standing there was... a peculiar individual.
"...Eh?"
The Person said in confusion, he was holding a milkshake in one hand and a chilly dog in the other.
He turned to face the boy and the army, taking a look at the current situation. Slowly, his confusion disappeared, replaced by a cocky grin.
"Ohh, I see~ it's another one of these, huh."
He said before quickly eating his chilly dog and stepping closer to the boy.
Kneeling down, he gave the young boy his shake,
"Here, have a sip," handing the boy his dairy dessert.
A soldier stepped forward with an angry tone.
"OI. I don't know who yah think yeh are, but that boy's commin' with us. So, unless yah want some trouble, then step away!"
Without paying much attention to the threats, the champion simply rose up, cleaning his ear with his finger. After that, he gave a big cocky grin and disappeared from the soldier's sight. Before he knew it, he felt a powerful kick right to his stomach, which sent him flying across the field.
The general, seeing this, was stunned before giving his order.
"A-ATTACK! CAPTURE THAT BLUE... T-THING!"
But the champion speeds off, kicking and hitting each and every soldier, wreaking the robo horses, and fighting the soldiers one by one at breakneck speeds.
"Thing?" He says, "I'm not a thing! I'm the fastest thing alive!"
He beats the last remaining soldiers before stopping right in front of the general with a cocky grin.
"I'm Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!"
The general was stunned and completely flabbergasted; his entire army of approximately 200 men was wiped out by a mere "hedgehog", whatever that was.
Knowing better than to fight him, the general turned around to flee.
"I'LL NOT FORGET THIS SONIC SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!"
He screams as he runs away in his robot horse, leaving Sonic and the boy alone... with the 200 knocked-out soldiers.
Sonic turns around, content with a job well done, before a sudden realization hits him.
"...Wait, did that guy say my name twice?".
