After like thirty minutes of driving in annoyance- her jaw almost breaking from the endless clenching, she finally arrived at her destination.
The Drayke family mansion!
Her mother was at her usual place- where she would sit in the afternoon for a cup of warm tea or more, depending on her mood and what she was tackling in her mind.
Today, she was on the second cup of tea when Cassandra walked into the room. She had knocked on the door once before opening the door, knowing fully well her mother would have picked up her scent before she even got to the door.
Evelyn raised up her head and her eyes narrowed as they laid on her daughter's sulking face.
"Mother, I need you to tell me the truth- what really happened to Betty Hale?" Cassandra demanded, going straight to the point, without bothering to exchange pleasantries.
