After some rough minutes of driving, Cassandra's car finally screeched to a halt in front of Victor Hale's real estate company- a sleek, modern building with glass walls and polished steel accents.
She didn't bother parking properly- just left the car in the middle of the driveway and stormed toward the entrance.
The glass doors slid open automatically, and Cassandra strode inside, radiating fury.
Her eyes glowed faintly gold. Her jaw was set. Her fists were clenched at her sides. Everyone in the lobby immediately felt the anger that now hovered in the air.
The temperature seemed to drop.
Employees froze mid-conversation, their eyes widening as they watched her pass.
"What is Cassandra Drayke doing here, looking like she wants to murder someone?" That was one thought that lingered in almost everybody's minds yet no one dared to speak. No one dared to move.
Cassandra didn't even look at them.
