The pain was unbearable and Lilian couldn't understand what was happening to her.
It felt like her chest was being ripped apart from the inside. Wave after wave of suffocating emotion crashed over her: rage, loss, fury.
But none of it was hers and she didn't know. It was overwhelming, crushing, all-consuming.
"Why... Why am I feeling these?" She thought.
The emotions weren't just feelings anymore- they had transformed into physical pain, tearing through her body like shards of glass.
"Help! Someone--- please!" Lilian screamed, her voice breaking.
Dying was scary and having actually died once, Lilian didn't want to experience that excruciating feeling again, at least not yet.
Her vision blurred, her limbs trembled and she collapsed fully onto the floor, curling into herself as the agony intensified.
The door to her office burst open.
Patricia stood in the doorway, her eyes wide with panic.
