MOOOOOOOO!!!!
Appa let out a whine of rejection as he lay on his belly with his tongue hanging out from exhaustion. His breath created a mist as the hot sun in the sky beat the gang.
"Oh my god! When is this heat going to pass?!" Katara shouted to the sky with a hint of anger mixed in her annoyance. She wiped her forehead from her sweat, the ground under her feet uncomfortably warm.
The group had been travelling for a few hours from their previous place. After nKatara and Toph trained for 1 more day, Norrak decided to continue on their journey.
But due to the massive sun hanging in the sky, and the almost sandified ground under their feet absorbing the heat, it felt like being in a sauna 24/7 to them.
"Oh, stop whining! The sun does wander for the skin if you really try it!" Toph said with a grin as she felt the warm floor beneath her feet. She let out a sigh of comfort.
Always having cold and pki ground under her soft and somehow white feet always annoyed Toph. Having a change for once that is warm and smooth feels nice to her.
"I am not whining, Toph! I am simply stating a fact that this place is too hot for us; maybe we should continue on our journey?" Katara said before turning to Norrak.
"Aww, but poor Appa can't fly anymore in this heat? We should wait until night comes and have him rest before continuing," Ty Lee said with a worried look as she smoothened Appa's fur.
Appa looked up and let out a cute whine at Ty Lee's words, enjoying the rubbing on his back. Ty Lee chuckled, her eyes shining at how cute Appa looked.
Boom!
A massive ice pillar appeared next to Appa, releasing incredibly chilly winds from it. The cold created a cold mist that washed over the group, bringing them relief and some much-needed cooling.
Appa let out a loud groan of enjoyment, his eyes meeting with Norrak's, who smiled as he knelt in front of Appa's face. His palm gently rubbed his nose, causing Appa to chuckle at the sensation.
"It's alright, big guy. We will let you rest for as long as you need. In the meanwhile, we will be gone for a few hours," Norrak said with a smile, looking behind Appa, at the town in the distance.
The town was not massive enough like in a modern era, but a couple of thousand people could live inside it. This town appeared in the canon of the Avatar universe, so Norrak remembered it.
"If I remember correctly, it had a spring that melted due to the heat. I could rebuild it, bringing a wave of relief, and probably many tourists to the town," Norrak muttered with a strategic light.
Norrak did not think of doing this purely for the good of his heart. He also did it to increase Katara's fame and make people see that she is a good person.
The town had a spring called the Misty Palms Oasis, a place that contained a refreshing spring. Water flowed into the spring from ice. As if a small ice mountain were placed inside the spring.
It was once considered one of nature's many wonders. Many visitors came to see it. Boosting the economy of this small area. However, it has since melted away and is no longer present.
"Are we going to stop in the town? We do need new clothes, since these are somewhat worn out," Katara said with a hint of relief as she looked at her clothes.
Due to training and travelling for the past few days, her clothes, along with everyone else's, except for Norrak, of course. The clothes had become worn due to use.
"Sure, now let's go. Appa, stay here. I will create a barrier to protect you, so don't worry," Norrak moved away from Appa, and he clapped his hands together, creating an ice barrier around Appa.
"Is this flimsy 6hin going to even protect Appa? It seems a bit weak. Don't you think? And won't it melt in this heat?" Toph asked with a confused expression as she tapped the ice with her finger.
"Really? Well, you could check it out if you want to know," Norrak said with a smile as he pointed at the barrier. Toph smirked before jumping back a bit.
"Fine, but don't cry to me if it breaks!" Toph stomped on the ground, and like a bull, she started running towards the barrier. Rocks flew from the ground, and it turned into a massive hollow ball of moving dome.
Boom!
The ice dome had slight cracks appear upon its surface as Toph smashed into it. The hollow dome made of large pieces of earth, weighing at least a dozen tons, crashed into it with a shockwave spreading from the impact.
Toph jumped away with an amazed expression, while the cracks regenerated with Norrak's help.
"Well, colour me impressed! I now see why you are so confident!" Toph said with an excited smirk, a hint of fighting intent on her face. Norrak chuckled at her clear fighting intent.
"Alright, let's get going. We should take a small rest from training, we can fight later," Norrak said as he started floating from the ground. Toph huffed before nodding.
"I will carry Ty Lee, you can carry Toph," Katara spoke up before wings of water unfurled from her back. She picked up Ty Lee while Norrak coated Toph with his Chi, floating her with himself.
Swoosh!
The four flew toward the town and reached it in a few minutes. They stopped a short distance away, not wanting to fly in and attract strange looks.
"Wow, this does not look anything like Omashu or gaoling. Are you sure this is a town and not a bunch of stone blocks dressed as buildings?" Katara asked with a hint of confusion.
"Katara, stop judging by the looks and instead let's explore to see what they have," Ty Lee said with an eager look as she began to urge Katara to walk forward.
"Fine!"
"Let's go and get some drinks first, though we can make water, it obviously won't be the same," Norrak mentioned as he saw a bar in the distance, close to the small ice spring.
'That's strange... Looks like this spring has a massive amount of concentrated spiritual-infused places under it.' Norrak thought as he looked at the small spring.
Underneath it, a condensed block of ice is constantly growing, fueled by that spiritual energy. Norrak had a thoughtful look with a hint of greed as he walked forward.

The next place they are going to is Wan Shi Tong's library, and I plan to introduce a way so that Norrak gets a different power-up. One that complements his Six Eyes.
