Alex took her to his room in the old mansion. He rarely came back but it was kept clean.
" We will sleep here today. You can take a shower and rest."
" Your family doesn't like me and that Linda,was she your childhood sweetheart?" She didn't like how Linda kept looking at Alex as if he was a piece of meat.
" They don't need to like you as long as I like you. As for that Linda, I never had childhood friends and we are not close. She keeps visiting and is close to my stepmom and stepsister."
" What of your father, he seems cold towards you." He didn't even acknowledge their presence.
" He didn't love my mum and now that she is gone, he doesn't love me. He married his first love who can't give him a son . He is just a bitter soul." He didn't care how his father behaved so long he didn't try to hurt him.
" Don't worry , I will not let anybody treat you anyhowly. They have to go through me." She felt sad for him growing up without love. At least she had her grandma Smith and Grandpa. Although she didn't know her mother's name or her grandfather's name, she at least had someone to love her since childhood.
" Thanks Robby." She always considered him weak.
They freshened up and changed to casual clothes. Robinah had made them different types of clothes and styles. Her designs were perfect and comfortable.

During dinner, Alex kept serving her food. All eyes were shocked, Alex never served anyone.
" Who is this young lady Alex?" His grandma asked.
" She is my fiancee. We have been engaged for sometime now. Am just waiting for her to turn eighteen before we register our marriage." He rarely explained himself.
" What!" There were cries of shock around the dinner table.
" Who are her parents? You know you have to consider the Luke corporation." His father talked for the first time since they arrived.
" Exactly, Linda is the best choice we have been grooming for him." Susan interjected smugly.
" I don't agree to this relationship." Old Mr. Luke said.
" It's not your decision to make." Alexander was loosing it.
His uncle and his family were happy to see them fight. They had always wanted to take over the business.
" Then you have to choose...." Before his grandfather could finish his statement, Alex cut him off." I choose her no matter what." He had always wanted to leave this family. An opportunity had presented itself.
Robinah had been silently watching the drama until she saw Mr. Erickson stand up angrily with a glass intending to through it at Alex.
" You incompetent son...." He shouted throwing the glass.
" Don't try it. No one can hurt him. He chose me and I choose him. I will take care of him and protect him. Even from his own unreasonable family." She calmly caught the glass and placed it on the table.
" Who are you to interfere in our family matters?" Betty shouted at her.
" Am Alexander's family." She stood in front of Alexander protectively.
" Are you sure of your choice Alex. You can reconsider. Don't hurt your family for an outsider." Linda said. She didn't believe Alexander would give up the CEOs position for Robinah.
" Who are you again?" Alexander asking casting her a contemptuous look.
" We grew up together Alex, how can you look at me like that?"
" Are we that close?" Alex hated this hypocrites the most.
"Don't make a decision in anger Alex. You might regret it later." His cousin, Samson adviced with a grin. He wanted to become the new CEO.
" I have made up my mind and since you don't welcome us, I will have to leave. Jason will bring the handover papers tomorrow. I am no longer related to you or your business." Alex said taking Robinah upstairs to pack. They didn't come with a lot of stuffs making it easy to pack. They came downstairs and had just walked to the door when his grandfather's voice came behind them.
" If you leave today, you will never come back. You will relinquish all the properties under your name to your Cousin Samson as the new CEO." Hearing this, Mr. Jonathan couldn't help but pat his son on the shoulder. They had been waiting for this day and now it was given to them on a platter of gold.
" I know and it will be delivered tomorrow to you tomorrow. You have never considered me family since my mother died anyway. It was just a matter of time. Don't think I don't know what all of you have been doing. Now that the only person who makes me happy has been rejected, I no longer need to pretend to be happy when am not here." He finished talking and left hand in hand with Robinah.
After they left, Samson was appointed the new CEO and all the property owned by Alex would be distributed to everyone. Linda was left fuming and vowed to get Alex back. Mrs. Susan was happy he finally left. Old Mr. Luke thought Alex would come back after calming down. Everyone was left with his or her own thoughts.

At the entrance of the Luke mansion, Robinah looked at Alex who was holding her hand tightly and sighed. He had been so resolute just now but he still felt sad. Alex noticed her sympathetic gaze and knew his trap had worked.
" Will you leave me now that I have nothing?" He asked pitifully.
" Well you have me and I can take care of you. I will take you to my villa and buy you anything you want. You don't need them and their money. We also have our business to run ." She wouldn't abandon him. Although she knew he was just exaggerating it, she still fell for it.
" I am so sad, will you sleep with me tonight ?" He pushed
" You are taking it far ."
" I have no one now, if my mother was around I wouldn't be suffering like this with no one to console me." He almost shed tears.
" Okay....okay I will. My grandfather gifted me a villa when he was my master. Let us go there."
" Alright I have already send Jason to get our luggage from the villa. It's no longer our home. Am sorry for everything Robby." They had never shared a room before, now that he had an opportunity, he had to grab it. He kept holding her hand till Jason send over a new car to pick them up. Robinah ordered different types of cars online and made the payment while on the way. She had enough money in her bank account.
They arrived at the villa which was clean and tidy. Robinah noticed a separate room with everything she needed to put her skills to use. They settled in the master bedroom and had some snacks they bought on the way before going to bed.
Robinah slept on one side while Alex took the other side. Noticing the girl almost falling down, he had to intervene.
" I won't eat you up. We are just sleeping. Can I hold you?" He asked
" I have never done such before. It seems weird." She said hiding her face.
" It's okay, am your fiancee and I promise not to cross any boundaries before we get married." He had to be patient.
She moved closer and allowed him hold her. Her body was tense and rigid.
" Relax and sleep."
" Good night Alex." She whispered.
