Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Hagrid's Referral

 "..."

Dylan remained noncommittal about what the brats said.

If asking a teacher questions was simply bravery, then Harry and the others were right.

"I hope Professor Snape will stay in his office over the weekend."

After returning home that night, he still needed to find time to sort out his confusion about Potions.

Therefore, he planned to wait until the weekend to bother Snape.

As for the afternoon, he had other things to do. He

walked out of the classroom with Harry and Ron.

  His eyes fell on Harry.

"Are you ready to go now?"

At breakfast, he and Harry had agreed to go to Hagrid's hut together after class.

He had barely finished speaking when Harry's stomach growled.

"Uh, I plan to wait until after dinner."

Harry was exhausted from today's Potions class and desperately wanted to stuff something into his mouth.

"Okay, you look hungry," Dylan nodded.

Harry let out a helpless look. "God knows what it's like to be stared at by Professor Snape the whole time. I've been sitting there straight all day."

Dylan smiled and went to the Great Hall with Ron, Harry, and the others.

  After dinner,

Harry felt more energetic, and Ron seemed to come alive.

When he heard Dylan was planning to go find Hagrid, he also insisted on joining them.

  Dylan naturally had no objections.

They left Hogwarts Castle and headed for Hagrid's hut.

"Hey, big guy, we're here to see you!"

Ron called out before they even reached the door.

  "Oh, it's you little wizards."

Hagrid saw Harry and warmly welcomed them inside.

"Have you had dinner yet? I have some rock cakes here. They're delicious. Try them."

Hagrid brought a plate of large, rock-like cakes from the table.

"You've had dinner, but you can have a little dessert."

Ron was the first to pick up a rock cake and put it in his mouth.

  "Crunch

  ! "

  Ron's eyes suddenly widened.

He felt like his teeth were about to be bitten off!

"Why is this pancake so hard?"

Harry, curious, picked up a piece and bit at it for a long time, but he didn't get a single bite, only biting off a few crumbs of the crust.

"Oh my god, is this pancake hardened? I want to learn the Shatter spell right now, right now!" Ron exclaimed.

Dylan had learned the spell, but he wasn't proficient at it. He had only a basic understanding, just getting started.

Faced with the large pancake on the table, Dylan didn't move.

So, of course, he didn't have to deal with the pancake. He could only slobber all over it and then think about using the Shatter spell.

"Sorry, I chewed it quite well."

Hagrid scratched his head, suddenly remembering that this pancake was not something a mere wizard could chew.

"If you really can't eat it, let Fang have it. Magic can heal injuries, but breaking teeth is never worth it."

Harry immediately tossed the pancake to Fang.

Ron, however, was determined to continue his fight with the rock pancake.

Fang ate Harry's rock cake.     It swung its tail like a whip and ran over to Dylan.

Dylan simply patted its big head.

Seeing no food, Fang ran back to Ron.

It darted back and forth between the group, tongue hanging out, panting heavily and making wheezing sounds.

Its sturdy limbs moved in an uncoordinated gait, and from time to time, it would bump into the sofa where the group sat because of its haste.

Ron finally gave up on the challenge of arguing with the rock cake and secretly slipped it to Fang.

Hagrid went to pour them another glass of water and turned to see Fang's behavior.

He laughed heartily and said, "It seems Fang likes you guys. You can play with him more."

He brought the water to the group.

  Dylan thanked him.

Hagrid sat down, sighed, and looked at Ron with a hint of admiration.

"I'm so glad to see you and Fang getting along so well. It reminds me of your brother Charlie, who treats magical creatures much better than other wizards."

Ron blinked. "What about Fred and the others?"

Hagrid's face suddenly wrinkled. "Don't even mention them, those two naughty ones!"

After Fang finished his pancake, Harry started playing with him.

Dylan took the opportunity to say to Hagrid, "Sir, I have a favor to ask of you."

Hagrid turned to look at him, a little surprised.

He'd heard Professor McGonagall mention Dylan several times.

He was a very clever little wizard. It was said that

he'd even made Snape lose his temper this morning. This was the first time he'd seen a little wizard so capable of handling Snape!

And now this little wizard suddenly came to him with a request.

Was he trying to learn about magical creatures?

Hagrid sat up a little straighter, wondering if he could also feel like a professor.

  "Tell me,"

Dylan smiled. "I love magical creatures, so I've been thinking about getting a raven as a pet."

"But I heard you need a license to keep one, so I was wondering if you could write me a letter of guarantee?"

Hagrid raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Ravens? They're really cute little creatures. You have good taste."

He thought for a moment and nodded. "No problem. I'll write a letter of guarantee and send it to the Office for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures shortly. With my recommendation, they'll review it quickly." "

Thank you! My name is Dylan Hawkwood."

"I know your name. A very clever little wizard who takes up a lot of professors' time after class. Hahaha~"

  Hagrid laughed heartily.

Hearing this, Dylan pursed his lips and smiled slightly.

"So, Dylan, you came to Hagrid because you want to get a magical creature?"

Fang ran over to Dylan, and Harry looked over. "I don't even know what a raven is."

  "It's a creature a bit like a black cat,"

Dylan added, thinking of his little brooding creature's cold eyes.

  "Very cute."

  Harry nodded without any doubt.

Hagrid also didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with the sullen shadow.

He was about to say something, but Harry asked him, "Today in Potions class, I felt that Professor Snape seemed to be really dissatisfied with me."

Hagrid's eyes flickered and he put away his smile.

"Oh, him, Professor Snape is like that, he doesn't have a good face for anyone - except Headmaster Dumbledore."

Dylan noticed Hagrid's mood change, as if the other party was deliberately avoiding continuing to talk about Snape with Harry.

Of course he wouldn't say too much at this time, after all, he was still counting on others to write a letter of guarantee and recommendation for him.
