It was clearly summer, yet the moment he stepped into the tavern, it felt as though he had entered a world of ice and snow. Wearing only a thin blue robe, Luo Yu couldn't help but shiver.
As he surveyed the interior, his brows slowly knit together.
The décor was unsettlingly strange. Without exception, every ornament was cast in gloomy, chilling tones—jet black intertwined with dark green, forming the dominant palette of the room.
The tavern itself wasn't large, barely over a hundred square meters. The main hall was filled with wooden tables and chairs, all empty. Like the signboard outside, they were riddled with cracks, clearly bearing the marks of age.
After sweeping his gaze around, Luo Yu found nothing of note besides an environment that felt like the underworld itself and an oppressive, bone-chilling gloom.
When something defies common sense, there's always something wrong. Even with nerves thicker than steel cables, Luo Yu could sense the danger in the air. His muscles tensed, his guard fully raised. With no intention of investigating further, he turned and walked toward the exit.
"Ah~!!!"
A soul-stirring cry suddenly rang out from the direction of the back hall.
The woman's voice was saturated with emotion—starting sharp and piercing, gradually melting into softness, and finally dissolving into indulgent satisfaction.
Luo Yu's refined face twisted into an odd expression. His experience was nowhere near that of a seasoned veteran, but even he could instantly tell what kind of "activity" had produced that sound.
"No way… In a creepy hellhole like this, someone's still joyriding on the love highway? That's… impressive taste."
A chill ran down his spine. Deciding this place was absolutely not for him, Luo Yu reached for the door handle, ready to leave. Just then, a cold breeze mixed with a faint, dark fragrance swept over him.
"Since you're already here, sir, why rush to leave?"A seductive female voice drifted over.
Luo Yu froze mid-motion. A strange chill crept up his neck—the voice clearly came from afar, yet it felt as though someone was whispering right beside his ear, exhaling icy breath laced with alluring softness.
He turned around.
At some point, an enchanting woman had appeared, sitting casually atop a table in the main hall.
Her deep-purple hair cascaded down to her waist. Curved brows carried a trace of darkness; her small nose tilted slightly upward. Her face was jade-white, foxlike, exquisitely beautiful—seductive and refined all at once.
Her figure wasn't overtly voluptuous, yet it radiated a fragile, captivating charm, as though her slender waist could be wrapped in a single hand. Her exposed thighs were etched with orderly, greenish patterns.
Luo Yu's lips twitched—not because of her beauty, nor the strange markings on her legs, but because she was casually playing with a long, green fruit in her hand.
Drip. Drip.
His gaze followed the sound downward. From beneath her dark skirt and along the roots of her thighs, an unknown liquid continuously slid down, dripping onto the floor.

"What are you?" he asked.
"Me?" She smiled. "I'm the owner of this establishment, of course."
Her legs—marked with strange patterns—crossed lazily. She wasn't wearing shoes at all.
"I've disturbed you by passing through," Luo Yu said, cupping his hands. "I'll take my leave."
He meant it. Without activating his Piercing Delusion Golden Eyes, he couldn't discern her cultivation or true nature at all. No matter how he looked at her, she seemed like an ordinary person.
Ordinary? Impossible. Luo Yu sneered inwardly.
"Don't be so hasty. I'm not going to eat you," the woman said, licking her pale-purple lips.
Luo Yu immediately stepped back half a pace.
"Anyone who enters is a guest," she continued. "Care for a piece of fruit?"
She casually tossed the fruit toward him.
It wasn't fast—no different from a normal person throwing something. Luo Yu instinctively raised his soul power to block it. When the "fragrant" fruit neared him, a look of pure disgust flashed across his dark eyes.
Bang.
The fruit fell to the ground.
He turned to leave again—only to find the broken door sealed with lingering purple shadows. The handle wouldn't budge.
Heavy breathing echoed behind him.
Luo Yu spun around, nearly colliding face-first with the woman's enchanting visage.
She had somehow appeared right behind him. Her lotus feet hovered in midair, less than five centimeters above the floor. Her violet eyes radiated a swirling, bewitching aura.
"Is my fruit really that unappetizing?" she asked softly.
Clang!
Knowing there was no avoiding this any longer, Luo Yu met her gaze head-on. His eyes flared open, golden light blazing forth, divine radiance pouring over her body.
"Heehee~ What's this golden light for?" the woman giggled, curiously reaching out to touch it.
Damn it.Luo Yu felt completely thrown off.
The Piercing Delusion Golden Eyes should have revealed something. Yet no matter how he looked, there were no anomalies at all. She appeared—absurdly—to be nothing more than a mortal.
A mortal who floats in midair?Yeah. Sure.
His composure was cracking. If she'd bared her fangs outright, that would've been simpler. Instead, her playful, clueless demeanor made her utterly unreadable.
"Where is this place?" Luo Yu demanded. "And who exactly are you?"
She walked through the air as if it were solid ground. Her long, pale legs—etched with black markings—continued to drip that unknown liquid as she tilted her head.
"You came here on your own, yet you don't know where this is?" she asked in confusion."As for me, I'm obviously the only owner here."
"I was just passing by," Luo Yu said. "I didn't know this place was special. And honestly, this doesn't look like a tavern at all."
She laughed softly. "It is a tavern. It's just that the wine here hasn't been worthy of anyone for over a thousand years."
"A thousand years?" Luo Yu's pupils shrank. What in the world is she…
She looked at him strangely. "So you really know nothing? Did some clueless fool wander in without understanding anything?"
Not wanting trouble, Luo Yu tried to leave again—only for her to outright deny him.
"Since you're here, you'll drink before you go."
"Miss, are you forcing the issue?" Luo Yu's voice turned cold.
"This place has its rules," she replied calmly. "Even those who wander in by mistake must obey them."
"Then say it plainly," Luo Yu snapped. "Stop playing ghost tricks with me."
Impatience flashed across his face. Majestic golden flames surged around him, ready to erupt at any moment.
