Chapter-67: boss room with a giant serpent coiled in it
He actually found a place with a secret chamber again. So when he came here, Visva directly stopped his team from moving towards the side wall and said. "I can sense some traps after facing so many traps in the treasure boxes.
There is a trap here and I warn you to not to go to that side of the room." Visva said to the group as they moved to the side quickly believing his words. Even the protagonist like Robert moved aside after listening to Visva.

With that warning all the people left this place and Visva could not help but smile. He actually did not move from that place and waited till all the people left this place to the pathway behind him.

Also he whispered to the people around him. "The stairs are clear. If you move safely you might succeed in leaving this place. If the snake wakes up I will shoot to distract it. But once it is completely awake we cannot leave until we kill it.
You can make your choice. I can only provide you with cover fire from this place. If you want to survive take this step and go to the stairs without making much noise." Visva said to the group the group looked frightened but what Visva said is reasonable.
They can only grit their teeth to leave this place. In the group the one that took the chance to leave first is actually Martina. She led her men to walk slowly towards the stairs. She made the decision really quickly without a second thought.
She knows the risk involved and she plans to end this quickly. Staying here will only lead to death. So she decided to take the small risk and leave here. She and her group moved slowly without making any sound.
Soon they reached the stairs successfully and the first person left through the stairs. This made other people the freeloaders wanted to move quickly to follow the group. With the fear of life they still moved quickly and tried their best to not to make any sound.
Unfortunately behind them is the protagonist Robert. Where ever he is there is a problem. Martina's group left and the freeloaders almost made it to the stairs when Robert stepped on a twig along the way.

Originally there is no twig in the pathway. But for protagonist things would come out of nowhere. As soon as the small sound was made the snake sensed those vibrations. Well it cannot listen to the sound because of structural problem.
But it can clearly sense some vibrations in the air like the sound wave. This is not an ordinary snake but a snake monster of the dungeon. So the moment the sound happened the snake opened its eyes. Silently it got up with its tongue coming out to check.
Others are frightened and stood still on the spot at this moment. The first one to react is actually the protagonist that pulled Ginny and Aisha with him on a speed run. Jake followed along as the group pushed the people in front of them to the stairs leading to the next floor.
