Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Cross-Dimensional Cute Pet Raising Guide

Ip Man expressed his agreement.

The members of the chat group were filled with curiosity about the group leader, Gu Beichen's identity.

To create such a miraculous chat group and even foresee everyone's past and future—perhaps the group leader came from a mythical world? Although he explained that these were just plots from anime and novels he'd seen in his previous life, everyone was more inclined to believe it was his unique ability.

Gu Beichen didn't hide anything and directly told everyone that he was in the Pokémon World, giving a brief introduction to the situation there.

After hearing this, the group members were both surprised and half-believing.

To prove he wasn't lying, Gu Beichen took a few photos and posted them in the group, including selfies with a few Pokémon.

Kuina and Busujima Saeko were immediately drawn in.

Kuina excitedly said that the Pokémon were too cute, especially wanting a Pikachu.

Saeko, on the other hand, was attracted to Gu Beichen's handsomeness, her heart rippling with emotion.

She had always felt inferior because of her bloodthirsty tendencies, thinking she didn't deserve love, but facing the group leader, she couldn't help but feel moved.

As for the original story's Takashi Komuro? In her eyes, he was just a fickle scumbag, nowhere comparable to the group leader.

Yue Buqun, as always, switched into flattery mode, unleashing a string of compliments that made Kuina and Saeko roll their eyes.

Ip Man, meanwhile, marveled at the Pokémon's abilities, believing their intelligence was extraordinary and their skills comparable to legendary spirit beasts.

Gu Beichen explained in the group.

"In our world's ancient times, Pokémon were indeed called magical beasts, similar to demon beasts or spirit beasts.

After countless ages, Pokémon and humans have now formed a symbiotic relationship."

Busujima Saeko replied enviously.

"I really yearn for such a world!"

Kuina suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

"The fierce beasts and sea beasts in our world also have high intelligence; it's just that most of them are very ferocious.

Brother Group Leader, can you give me a Pokéball to try capturing them?"

Gu Beichen thought the idea was pretty novel.

"You can give it a try, but I doubt it'll work.

Pokéballs are specifically designed for Pokémon."

With that, he used his superpowers to take out four Pokéballs and sent them as a red envelope.

Soon, Busujima Saeko, Kuina, Yue Buqun, and Ip Man all claimed the red envelope.

Kuina was a bit greedy.

"Just one? Can you give me a few more?"

Busujima Saeko said.

"I only got one too."

Yue Buqun was already eager to try.

"I'll go test if I can capture my horse right now."

Ip Man also said he wanted to give it a shot.

Gu Beichen reminded Kuina.

"First, see if you can even use it.

Oh, and don't forget the fierce beast meat and Sea King meat you promised me."

Kuina agreed readily.

"Got it! I'll go try it out right now—logging off!"

Kuina sent the message and hurriedly went offline, her avatar turning gray in an instant.

Gu Beichen couldn't help but chuckle.

"This girl is still so hot-tempered."

He then posted a message in the group.

"Old Yue, I've been researching new martial arts techniques lately and need more secret manuals and Taoist scriptures. Can you help collect some for me? I won't treat you poorly afterward."

His recent studies had made him realize that his knowledge reserves were far from sufficient.

Yue Buqun replied immediately.

"The group leader is truly impressive! To create a divine skill yourself! I'll copy a set of the Huashan Sect's secret manuals for you right away and continue gathering more.

As for the reward, you're too polite—this is what I should do!"

His tone was respectful, his attitude humble, the very picture of currying favor with the group leader.

Ip Man silently sent three words.

"You... this... sigh..."

In those few short words, his complex emotions were evident.

Even Saeko, who usually lurked quietly, was speechless at Yue Buqun's sycophantic ways.

Gu Beichen replied.

"Then I'll trouble you with that. Once I research the new technique, I'll definitely give you a copy."

Yue Buqun agreed at once.

"Alright, Group Leader, please wait a moment—I'll go prepare it now!"

He was overjoyed inside. After all, the techniques the group leader had created before already far surpassed the Huashan Sect's Purple霞 Divine Skill. He couldn't miss this opportunity.

Yue Buqun felt that the secret manuals the group leader provided weren't strong enough yet and wanted to research even more powerful ones himself.

Even second-rate ones would be much better than the Purple霞 Divine Skill.

Gu Beichen replied in the group.

"Understood! Prepare them as soon as possible! I need techniques of all levels!"

Yue Buqun agreed immediately.

"As you command!"

He left the chat and promptly instructed his servants.

"Quickly, have all the disciples gather in the main hall!"

Ning Zhongze hurried over and asked.

"Suddenly summoning the disciples—what's happened?"

"Just about to tell you."

Yue Buqun lowered his voice. "A few days ago, I encountered a great opportunity..."

He briefly explained the chat group matter and the reason for summoning the disciples.

Ning Zhongze's eyes lit up upon hearing it.

"If this really works out, we'll need to prepare more secret manuals!"

"That's exactly what I mean."

Yue Buqun nodded. "You take some disciples to copy the sect's internal manuals; I'll lead others down the mountain to collect more."

"Be careful,"

Ning Zhongze reminded him. "We absolutely cannot let this leak out."

Thinking of the threat from the Songshan Sect, she added.

"What about Lu Denuo? Keeping him around risks leaks, but getting rid of him will alert Zuo Lengchan..."

The two exchanged a glance, both seeing the worry in each other's eyes.

Yue Buqun stroked his beard thoughtfully.

"Indeed, we should deal with him soon."

"As for Zuo Lengchan, no need to worry. Give me some time, and the Songshan Sect will be nothing to fear."

"But you're right—we should still be cautious.

I'll take them down the mountain under the pretext of training, and find an opportunity along the way to let that 'traitor' meet an 'accidental' end."

Ning Zhongze nodded in approval.

"That's more secure."

She sighed softly. "Why did that child insist on being a spy..."

Her tone carried a hint of regret.

**[Kuina]** Brother Group Leader! It really doesn't work!

**[Gu Beichen]** What doesn't work? Be clear!

**[Busujima Saeko]** Pfft... (holding back laughter)

**[Kuina]** I mean using the Pokéball to capture sea beasts doesn't work! What were you thinking!

**[Gu Beichen]** ...

He was clearly just trying to maintain his image.

**[Gu Beichen]** I told you it wouldn't work.

If you want Pokémon, I'll give you one.

I've posted the Pokédex in the group—pick one yourself.

He uploaded a simplified Pokédex, including only common species.

**[Kuina]** Awesome! I want a Pikachu!

**[Busujima Saeko]** Can I pick one too?

Gu Beichen generously stated in the group that he would honor his promise, letting everyone choose their favorite Pokémon.

Busujima Saeko, Ip Man, and Yue Buqun all expressed their thanks, then went to check the Pokédex file in the group.

Busujima Saeko quickly made her choice, wanting a Ralts.

She felt that psychic-type Pokémon were very approachable, and Ralts had an adorable appearance.

More importantly, in the impending apocalypse, superpowers would come in handy.

Though she wasn't sure if she could master teleportation before the end times arrived, preparing ahead was always wise.

Yue Buqun and Ip Man both chose Pidgey.

They were actually interested in other more magical Pokémon as well, but considering the realities of their worlds.

Many Pokémon would be seen as demons there, making it impossible to raise them openly.

In comparison, a Pidgey with its ordinary bird-like appearance was less likely to draw attention.
