Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Opening the Marvel World

The morning light crept into the Hokage's office, spilling across the polished floor and the mountain of scrolls that never seemed to shrink. My gaze wasn't on them. Instead, I stared at the glowing blue panel that hovered silently in front of me—visible only to me.

[World Exchange Menu Opened]Available Worlds:– Naruto (Unlocked)– Marvel Universe (Cost: 10,000 Points)– Harry Potter (Cost: 8,000 Points)– One Piece (Cost: 12,000 Points)– My Hero Academia (Cost: 9,000 Points)

My fingers hovered above the options before I whispered, "Unlock Marvel Universe."

[Ding!] Marvel Universe Unlocked. Remaining Points: 20,000.][New System Function: World Portal Summoning Enabled.]You may send individuals across worlds via linked portals. Power scaling and chakra suppression fields are automatically calibrated.

I exhaled slowly. The Marvel world… A universe of super-soldiers, gods, and technology centuries ahead of ours. Exactly the kind of place I needed to prepare for the threats that might follow me between worlds.

But this wasn't a journey I could make recklessly.

I turned toward the window overlooking the village. The morning bustle of Konoha had begun—the sound of merchants, chatter of shinobi, and laughter of children. My creation. My peace. I couldn't abandon it. Not yet.

If I was to explore another world, I would need eyes, ears, and hands there first.

"ANBU."

Four shadows appeared silently before me, kneeling in a single motion. Each wore a different animal mask—Cat, Hawk, Wolf, and Dog.

"Kakashi," I said softly, my eyes meeting the familiar single Sharingan under his mask. "You will lead a team into a new world."

Kakashi tilted his head. "A new world, Hokage-sama?"

"Yes. Consider this a long-term reconnaissance mission. You will cross through a dimensional gate—created through my new… technique. Your task is to observe, gather intelligence, and establish a base of operations. Minimal engagement. Absolute secrecy."

Shisui appeared beside me in a blur of motion, arms crossed. "So soon, Itachi? You're really planning to reach beyond this world?"

I nodded. "If the system is right, there are countless worlds like ours—some stronger, some weaker. If we prepare now, we can protect Konoha from threats that transcend universes."

He smiled faintly, though I could see the concern in his eyes. "You've always been ten steps ahead."

I activated my Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. The pattern spun like molten fire as the air before us began to ripple. Space itself groaned. A circular distortion formed—a dark, swirling gate lined with streaks of blue lightning.

[Portal Activated: Marvel Universe.]

A gust of energy tore through the office, rustling papers and blowing back Shisui's cloak.

"Your destination is a place called New York City," I said. "It's a hub of this world's power. Gather intel on their technology, their leaders, and anyone with abilities similar to chakra users."

Kakashi gave a lazy salute. "A new world, huh? Guess I'll need a new bingo book."

I allowed a small smile. "Return in one week. If possible."

The four ANBU stepped into the portal, their forms dissolving into motes of light as the gate sealed behind them. Silence fell.

I turned back to the system screen.

[Mission Started: Establish a Foothold in the Marvel Universe.]Reward: 15,000 Points + Random S-Rank Ability.

I exhaled slowly, feeling the Sage chakra hum through my body. The age of the Shinobi had just stepped into the multiverse.

And I, Itachi Uchiha—the man who rewrote destiny—had just taken my first step toward a new one.
