Chapter 43 - About to Face a New Threat

"Days turned into weeks, and Alessandro and Clara settled into a routine at the cabin. The old man, whose name was Silas, remained gruff and taciturn, but he seemed to have accepted their presence.Alessandro spent his days helping Silas with chores around the cabin, chopping wood, hunting for food, and repairing the roof. Clara helped with the cooking and cleaning, trying to make the cabin feel more like a home.They still didn't know if they could trust Silas completely, but they had no other choice.
