Back to school
"Garage!" Said a slightly mature voice with a weak undertone. The big white van followed suit stopping next to the nearby petrol station.
Stepping out was a slightly tall teenager in a grey school uniform and a slim black bag strapped to his shoulder.
*Yoh! Finally out. That lady was hogging too much space. The downside of taking a taxi. But atleast I can be more flexible with my time.*
The high schooler slowly makes his way to school passing a few suburban houses. He finds the school gate wide open and desolate.
"Earlier than I thought." He mumbled to himself deciding to walk around.
*Final year huh. Hopefully,I won't waste it."
Walking around the near empty school,he spotted a girl in a lonely corner, scrolling on her phone. *Let me go say hello.* He takes a deep breath and slowly starts walking towards her. Just after a few steps he stops, seemingly rethinking his choices. He turns around however,as soon as he takes a step away from the girl he remembers the vow he recently made to himself. He turns back around continuing walking towards the girl. He gets closer. The clouds suddenly opening for a ray of sunshine to land on the girls face. Seeing her face being highlighted,his heart beats even faster. He continued walking closing the distance. Then,he walks passed her.
Unbeknownst to him the girl was watching him from the moment he entered her peripheral. Even though she didn't expect him to walk past her,she was amused.
*Sheesh! What happened to me?* He contemplated while slowing down. *Thinking about it now won't be beneficial.* He made a round trip to the entrance, though far enough that he isn't in everybody's face.
People had already started streaming in. Friend groups reuniting with smiles and giggles.
